. . . how could she deal with genuinely critical media?

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton got into a testy exchange with NPR’s Terry Gross on Thursday, as Gross tried to get Clinton to explain her views on marriage equality over time.
Gross attempted to get the former secretary of state to explain whether she had changed her mind over time on the issue of marriage equality or whether she supported marriage equality previously but felt she couldn’t say so due to the popular and political opposition.

She evidently didn’t think of the most obvious answer.

“What difference, at this point, does it make?”

    Point of Order: The question assumes that anyone in the MSM will be genuinely critical of her, given that she’s most likely the one to be anointed to run in 2016. My guess is the memos have already come down from on high at NPR about broaching uncomfortable topics, i.e. Benghazi, etc.

    Actually, yes. You’ll notice that even Obama is more likely to go on Fox News than MSNBC. He knows he’s got the latter’s support but needs to work to persuade the former.

    Rightly or wrongly (IMO, very much wrongly), in recent years the electorate has taken to choosing its presidents based on likeability. Obama was “cool,” Voters would “rather have a beer with” Bush than Kerry.

    Hillary’s problem is that she’s an unlikeable bitch.

    That goes for both the right and the left, and Gross’ interview reflected that.

    Me, too – I didn’t buy it then, either. But then, I learned early on that she was the same Hillary Rodham who was fired by the Democratic-run House Judiciary Committee working to impeach Nixon because of unethical behavior.

    That superficiality is what comes from 1) federal control of education at all levels for 40 years and 2) 20 years of dumbing down voter registration to make it easy for every disinterested halfwit to register and then hectoring them to vote when they clearly have neither the knowledge or intelligence to do so with due diligence.

    Gross was persistent, but she was not hostile. And she gave Hillary options, she made it possible to defend either possible answer (always for it or evolved to be for it). It is the fact that Hillary gets hostile when questioned that messed her up.

    And it wasn’t enough for her to refuse an answer and hit back, she had to push it until she came off as unreasonable.

    Hillary isn’t a good candidate or a good person, and it shows.

    “Inevitable” you say? That’s what I heard, too – in 2007.
