Good things come in small packages, and that’s definitely true of Maisie Williams, who rose to fame playing Arya Stark in Game of Thrones, now in its eighth and final season – unlike the books the TV series is based on, which are unlikely ever to be finished because George “Rape Rape” Martin is a fat, lazy slug. In any case, Williams has done a grand job playing the second daughter of the doomed Eddard Stark (played, perhaps inevitably, by Sean Bean) who goes from dynastic spare wheel and tomboy to deadly assassin, a graduate of the House of Faceless Men. By fortunate happenstance, her birthday is April 15, so here’s a pic of Miss Williams when she’s not mucking about in a nihilistic crapsack medieval fantasy world full of rape, pointless death, and frequent murder, to say nothing of rape. Did I mention rape?
