After weeks of getting beaten like the family mule, the Senators struck back with a sweep of the A’s plus two wins against the Twins. A lot of the credit goes to the bullpen, with Charlie Hough going three innings in Game 2 for the win against the A’s, and both of the wins against the Twins coming in extra innings. This brings us to 13-23, a game behind Pete’s Brewers and seven ahead of the woeful A’s, who we face again on Tuesday before going to the Mistake by the Lake to take on the Tribe (20-17).
