Markos Wants Some Cheese

To go with that whine:

In case you were wondering why you haven’t seen me on MSNBC recently, it seems that Joe Scarborough, he of the lowest rated morning show in cableland, has blackballed me. And Phil Griffin, the alleged president of MSNBC, is going along with it.

(Via Memeorandum.) Did Moulitsas ever mock MSNBC’s ratings before he got “blackballed”? I doubt it. So his opinions of TV networks are evidently based on whether they book him or not. He explains his alleged victimhood by quoting his Twitter to Scarborough about “a certain dead intern” — a reference to former Scarborough aide Lori Klausutis, about whom Kos had blogged in 2005. Kos quotes an e-mail from MSNBC’s Griffin:

Yes, after I became aware of the ugly cheap shot you took at Joe on Twitter, I asked the teams to take a break from booking you on our shows for a while. I found the comments to be in poor taste, and utterly uncalled for in a civil discourse. . . .
I just don’t know how one could reasonably expect to be welcomed onto our network while publicly antagonizing one of our hosts at the same time.

The key word there is “reasonably.” Exactly how reasonable is it for Markos Moulitsas to incite a war with MSNBC over a Twitter fight with Joe Scarborough in which Kos insinuated that the death of Lori Klausutis was a “scandal” for Scarborough?

BTW, I often watch “Morning Joe,” and Da Tech Guy is a huge fan of the show. And I’m not saying that because I want to get booked on the show, as all the stuff I’ve written about Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews would forestall any such prospect under the Phil Griffin Rule.

Strangely enough, although Rachel Maddow is as hard-left as Olbermann — and once invoked me in a cheap smear on Sarah Palin — I actually don’t mind watching Maddow so much. And my reasons are purely superficial: She’s got a nice smile. Bad politics, but good teeth.

The moral of the story: If you want to be on TV, think before you Tweet.

Oh, gg, well done! You’ve only made three punctuation errors in five posts! See what a little hard work and determination can accomplish?

You’re almost ready to start working on writing something worth reading.

The reason I don’t care if Kos is on MSNBC or anywhere else is because the one time I did see him on a talk show he was about one thatrical laugh away from launching into Ethel Merman doing “Everything’s Coming Up Roses.”

Well, I’m a little surprised that Kos is banned from MSNBC. I mean, come on, if you’re pitching Olbermann and Maddow’s stuff, a prominent blogger twitting Scarborough about a dead intern is pretty small beer.

Maybe Joe threatened to walk. And he’s the one semi-serious Republican willing to host a show there who’s able to do a good job with it.

Morning Joe was my morning show from late 2007 to late 2009. (Got tired of their liberal guests. I’ll go back to Joe and Mika once the fall election stuff heats up, though. I enjoy their banter.)

Kos getting banned from MSNBC is almost as funny as Keith Olbermann writing a GBCW diary and huffing away from Kos for a few days. ‘Course, he was there the following week to post his regular diary. Who else will publish what he writes?

I’m a conservative who reads DailyKos and HuffPo daily. Couldn’t get through the day without a little liberal meta to keep me going.

I especially love the chicken little diaries on Kos. There were two memorable ones this week. One diarist was claiming that evil right-wing Mengele like “Christianist” doctors were going to test all fetuses for homosexuality and if they tested positive, the mother would be given a drug called Dex, to make the baby normal. Needless to say, our highly scientific liberal friends were completely off the mark as to the use of the experimental drug and eventually the diarist figured out that she had made herself look like an idiot. Of course, no one mentioned the irony that the mother could have just chosen to abort or that it would have even been an option.

The other one was a news report from Uganda or somewhere saying that one gay had been killed and another was missing. It went on to show that the head of the first victim was found in a latrine. Turns out that, yes, there was a murder, but the victims weren’t actually gay, so the diarist just apologized and nobody seemed concerned because the victim wasn’t gay.

DailyKos needs the clicks, and the diaries are worth the laughs. People who can barely write a complete phrase are bashing the Tea Partiers for illiterate signs and wannabe Dem political consultants are postulating new memes to be spread about the GOP. Good times, GOOD TIMES!
