’13 Days and a Wake-Up’

Charles Lollar held a press conference this afternoon in which he closed by saying that we’ve got “13 days and a wake-up” until Nov. 2. Indeed, the time to Election Day is now perilously short, dear friends.
On his way back to Massachusetts, Pete Da Tech Guy stopped in to visit the Fairfax, Va., headquarters of Keith Fimian’s campaign in the 11th District against Gerry Connolly, another Democrat who’s using every dirty trick in the book trying to hide from his record. Keith Fimian is holding Connolly accountable:
VA-11 — which includes George Washington’s Mt. Vernon home — is still rated a “toss-up” by Real Clear Politics, and it’s going to take an all-out effort for the next 13 days to beat Connolly. In Maryland’s 5th District, meanwhile, beating Steny Hoyer might take a miracle. Or a Marine. And as one commenter pointed out earlier, Charles Lollar is known for his gung-ho attitude:
While reading Instapundit, I recognized the name, Charles Lollar, and had to check for myself. Yes, it is the same Charles that I knew from McEachern High School in Powder Springs, GA. Charles is one of those people that you never forget. It boils down to his infectious positivity, sense of humor and giant smile.
He definitely has a winning personality and it’s no wonder Lollar has got House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer playing defense in a supposedly “safe” Democrat district in Maryland.
Last week, Hoyer told Lollar: “I’m coming after you.” Somehow, I think Steny is going to be much the worse for wear after this engagement. Look at this Lollar TV ad:
Politico says there are 99 Democrat seats at risk. Hell, let’s go for an even 100 — give $20 to Charles Lollar now.
Wherever you are, and whichever candidate you support, your duty now is to do all you can for the next two weeks.
