START II: Another GOP Cave-In?

The Lonely Conservative:

Yesterday the Senate moved one step closer to approving the New START treaty President Obama has been pushing for. It is expected that full approval will pass the Senate today and the deal with the Russians will be ratified shortly. . . .
Why don’t I feel any safer? . . .

Read the whole thing. My basic impression is that (a) this is yet another controversial issue that the Democrats intentionally punted past Election Day; and (b) if Democrats are in favor of it, Republicans should vote “no.”
