Obama’s February Deficit: $233 Billion

That’s $23,000,000,000 of deficit spending in a single month — the shortest month of the year, as Ace notes, calling it “the prelude to hyperinflation.”

Ace also reminds us that this one-month deficit is $60 billion more than the entire budget deficit for 2007. And a commenter at Protein Wisdom points out that this one-month deficit is nearly equal to the cost of the first eight years of the war in Afghanistan.

But remember: Obama will veto the GOP budget unless it includes funding for Planned Parenthood.

    The insanity of this has to be apparent to even Democrats at this point.

    Memo to GOP:

    Do not make Planned Parenthood the central issue of the budget issue. I am not suggesting capitulation. Nothing of the sort.

    Make this deficit and over-spending the central issue and then have a list of things that can be cut to bring it down substantially (Planned Parenthood funding being just one of many). Because while you will get a split over abortion funding (and I agree it is a topic worth fighting over) it is not the central issue here. The central issue here is over-spending and deficits and what that means for the United States.
