Even Peggy Has Him Pegged. Finally.

Joining the Formidable Ann Althouse in the self-identifying rube chorus is Peggy Noonan. Sort of.

The [Republican] establishment was being conservative in the Burkean sense: acknowledge reality, respect it, and make the most progress possible within it. This has not always been true of them. They spent the first decade of this century backing things a truly conservative party would not have dreamed of—careless wars, huge spending and, most scandalously, a dreamy and unconservative assumption that it would all work out because life is sweet and the best thing always happens.

Had you been paying attention, Peggy, you’d have realized that this establishment you revere was really just a pack of Ruling Class Overlords, building since the Wilson administration. For all Reagan’s tactical success, he really didn’t leave much in the way of an intellectual heir, to continue the resurgence of America as Intended.
Thus, matters have decayed to the point where we have a POTUS of whom Peggy can say, in closing:

He is not a devil, an alien, a socialist. He is a loser. And this is America, where nobody loves a loser.

Political Clown Parade brings this statement home in a rather heavy ‘shop. Also, thanks for the pointer to Peggy’s article, PCP.
Yet even here, Peggy stands too close to the problem. She doesn’t grasp that BHO is a losing product of a system geared to produce losers, all the while talking about creating fair-adise. The Progressive Paradise is always Paradise Lost.

Update: linked at The Mind Numbed Robot, who aggregates the Peggy-flogging nicely.

I don’t mind people not admitting they were wrong as long as they figure it out and change

Peggy stands too close to the problem.

Until last year (or so), she was PART of the problem.

Too bad YouRube.com is taken… it’s a great domain name for all those  Obama voters with buyer’s remorse.

(warning… don’t go there, looks like a scammer site)

She voted for Obama.  So she would know.

Seriously, Peggy is like one of those seniors who needs a monitoring braclet because of dimentia.  And probably a set of Depends so she doesn’t soil herself.

I see you are the elder of the blog Smitty. All our modern bent towards this “soft” slavery we find ourselves in can be traced back to the eugenicists that proliferated in the Wilson era. I have attached this statement to many progressive reactionaries and as a general rule it applied to this ruling caste which you allude to.
“They are an unfortunate by-product of our socio-political system and the exact opposite of egalitarianism and justice.
If this were 1863 they would be slave owners north of the
Mason-Dixon, beating their chattel when they were displeased while
promoting invectives of those citizens who resided below it and did not
own such. It is to our collective misfortune that citizens of their ilk
are elevated to a position where they are able to inflict such
inexorable vituperation on us all, even those who voted for them. That
those voters are too obtuse to recognize the detriment  to the collective is no excuse for their behavior.
This ruling caste’s moral compass is defective and they relish in our pathetic bent.
Our national family is in a fight and they only throw stones from the rear ranks, not caring who gets hit. Serving their money masters who write the very legislation that directs our treasure into their pockets.”

The first rule of Depends is “You are going to soil yourself.”

Yeah, true, but without the absorbant pad and vapor barrier coating, it is going to be a lot worse.

I lost all respect for Noonan when she derided Sarah Palin on that hot mic incident. As far as I’m concerned, she is nothing but John McCain in drag, and that bit of Obama not being Socialist proves it.

    Death to the Overlords!

    Resistance is not futile.

No, Peggy, you insufferable twit, Obama actually is a socialist.  He says so himself.  He implements fascist policies at every turn.  He backs it up by mouthing socialist, class-warfare nonsense at every opportunity, & he further indicates so by hiring fellow socialists to do his dirty work.  Saying he’s not a socialist tells me that you actually have no clue (& you’ll probably vote for him in 2012, too).

To be honest, calling Obama a loser would have a lot more traction with people.  Who wants to be associated with one?

The only disqualifier needed was “America is the greatest country in the world and we need to change it” by The Won.

Any who voted for OHbama are Kommies, crazies or PC polluted.

I thought the same thing.  What is wrong with that woman not to see that he’s a socialist?
