#OWS Protesters Attempt to Storm AFP Defending the American Dream Summit

Posted on | November 4, 2011 | 161 Comments

WASHINGTON, D.C.
“Occupy DC” protesters just attempted to force their way into the Washington Convention Center where the Americans for Prosperity Foundation is holding its Ronald Reagan tribute dinner for the “Defending the American Dream Summit.” I was in the middle of the scrum of smelly hippies when they stormed the doors and have multiple photos and video which I’m uploading now.

UPDATE: Smelly hippies chant “We are the 99%” while attempting to force their way into the building:

UPDATE II: A couple of AFP supporters who were attending the dinner and had stepped outside to watch the protesters marching, got caught in the mob when the protesters rushed the doors:

You can see Michelle Fields, a video producer for the Daily Caller, next to the policeman.

UPDATE III: Another brief video showing the chanting frenzied mob:

So you have the sights and sounds of “civil disobedience,” and are fortunately spared the smell.

UPDATE IV: Welcome, Instapundit readers! It’s stuff like this that makes you nostalgic for the Good Old Days of real police brutality.

UPDATE V: After the storm-the-doors stunt, the smelly hippies deployed to block adjacent street corners and chant stupid slogans:

A Republican consultant (who shall not be named) said: “I’ve never seen so many losers in my life.” Truly, it was LoserFest 2011.

This peaceful group of occupiers pushed a 78 year old gentle woman down a flight of stairs at the south end of the convention hall that night. And after doing so ignored that she was injured and in need of medical attention.

So much for non violence. Next time try picking on someone younger and stronger.

Yeah. There are noooooo rich progressives in the mix. Your Dear Father, er I mean Barack Obama has received more dollars in campaign contributions from the banking industry than all of the Republican contenders combined.

My god. How violent and hateful do you have to get before your comments are taken down?

[…] They blocked the doors too, using their children as human shields to preventing a women in a wheelchair from leaving. They also assaulted participants as they left. […]

We know why the movement arose. What we don’t understand is why it has become a batch of people who have no real clue why they are there, they are seeking violence, they are using children in front of them, why they are so trashy. Answer us those questions will you?

Anyone who defends this behavior is as bad as they get. I listened to a woman today who was there and has pictures. These protesters didn’t care that they put people who were there for an annual conference in danger. The doors were blocked so no one could get out. IF a fire had broken out many people would have died. How does one defend that behavior?? Children were used to block the way for the adults. Who in this country uses children?? That is the kind of thing we fight against. What these protesters are doing is so wrong. They are not peaceful or decent. No respect for the property they invade. Is this how we want our country to end up? No different than the middle east or London or Paris?? Stop defending the people who so willingly will endanger others lives.

So your a teacher, and are proud of these clueless morons and useless idiot slaves of the left who have no real idea why they are even there, that you surround yourself with at this occupy protest. You must be a public school teacher, thank God I have my child in Catholic school, so I hope you are proud with these students that you may have helped “educate” but  judging from their mentality I would be very surprised if they can even read their worthless diplomas.
