    Amazing that DOJ tries to block Florida from purging their voter rolls of tens of thousands of deceased, expatriate, and illegal voters – because two cases have been found where the removal was incorrect and the voters still eligible.  The fact is that a few voters are always screwed by the system, it is impossible to achieve perfection, and it does a lot more potential harm to leave massive numbers of unqualified electors on the list.

    I know the scam that makes Democrats so afraid of voter ID laws, though.  In their voter drives and GOTV operations, Democratic local leaders learn those who simply won’t go to the polls, or only vote in Presidential elections, and won’t apply absentee.  As long as no ID is required, others can just go vote in their names.  There is no way to check it at all once the vote is cast.

    The way it stands in  most states, as long as the substitute voter is the right sex, they aren’t challenged.  Voter ID of course complicates this process greatly – they would need a fake ID for every person they wish to cast a vote for, and that increases the chances of getting caught.

    Another aspect of this is DoJ’s opposition to shortening the time for early voting. I don’t recall the concept of early voting being mentioned in the constitution, or the voting rights act for that matter. I am sure that early voting increases opportunities for shenanigans.
