Careful there, Smitty.

I’ve raised kids. Sooner or later, he’s going to take up the keyboard, and start blogging on his own. And he will not agree with you, as often as not.

My own Son, the Newspaper Editor, will argue with me for an hour about anything. (Not that he necessarily disagrees with me, but he’s his own person, and will do it just to see if he can get his old Daddy crossways.)

But occasionally he does seriously differ with me. You ought to hear us get off into Foreign Policy. He’s a Ron Paul Conservative. (Bring us home from everywhere!) Outch. And I raised that monster!

Better that direction than the other way, I guess. But you don’t get to pick what they choose. How did CSNY put it?

“Teach your children well.”

And may Our Lord Bless you and yours! They are your joy and happiness, even if they are not so much all that some days. If they stay out of jail and gainfully employed, you done good.

Thanks Smitty. Sometimes I just need a shiny dimpled grin in the middle of all the serious. Can definitely feel the cute from here…..but the no chin chucking or cheek pinching is kind of a bummer.

The WYB definitely ranks as finalist in the WCB Series; at 1, I held my own, but inexplicably, something happened since then ? It`s a mysterious mystery !

Somewhere in the family stack-o-stuff, there`s a pic of me on my 2nd Birfday, on my knees at the dining table, cake in front of me, parakeet cage behind and “Teetie Bo” on my head ! Unh hunh, beat that ! 🙂
