Health Care Expert: ObamaCare Will Kill Estimated 40,000 Seniors Every Year

Betsy McCaughey is the former lieutenant governor of New York. She has a Ph.D. from Columbia University. Her Web site is DefendYourHealthCare.com and she is the author of The Obama Health Law: What It Says and How to Overturn It.

Today at Newt Gingrich’s “Newt University” conference, Dr. McCaughey explained that the “skimpy care” that Obama’s health law would impose on Medicare hospital patients “is likely to cause an estimated 40,000 unnecessary deaths each year.” As she explained in a brief video interview with me today, this is not a political charge, but is based on evidence from extensive medical research.     The answer to your question is: a hell of a lot. Seniors have time, money, and expansive knowledge in many subject areas, the three things the vast majority of youth do not have in any substantial way, other than the unemployed , who have time, but obviously shouldn’t waste it on the internet.

    And it’s not just seniors here in the US. Rural seniors in India, who lived in villages that never had as much as a phone, are comfortable complaining about download speeds on the internet when getting photos of their grandkids.

    You should do more research.

    Stacy, Im A CRNA and have been for 33 yrs., You can’t take at first 500 and now over 7oo bil from Medicare and not have rationing. You really don’t think that Ocare is a coindence just as the Baby Bommers need it do you? This is in line with everything envirnomentalists want which is population control. BTW, it’s never been mentioned but who will make up the IPAB…bet it won’t be MD’s
