Breitbart in February: ‘You Want a Unity Speech? I’ll Give You a Unity Speech.’

FLORENCE, South Carolina
Back in February at CPAC, Andrew Breitbart gave a speech in which he called for unifying conservatives to defeat the Left:
Anyone that’s willing to stand next to me to fight the progressive left, I will be in that bunker, and if you’re not in that bunker ’cause you’re not satisfied with this candidate, more than shame on you — you’re on the other side!
Breitbart also forecast the tactics the media would use:
We’re watching you to play the race card MSNBC. We saw how you cynically placed the Reverend Sharpton in a position of absurdist power. This is Dadaism, I learned that in college, that they would allow for this guy to have a show. This is Dadaism. It’s freaky. It’s Andy Kaufman. It doesn’t make sense unless you understand what they’re doing.
This is going to be the dog whistle election cycle. They tested them in 2011, so he and his pal Toure and that punk Tim Jacob Wise and Ed and Maddow can sit there and call everyone who’s Caucasian racist. “I heard it. He used ‘is’ instead of ‘are.’ He’s a racist. That’s a dog whistle.’”
Ignore it when Congressman [Carson] does it against Allen West. No more. We’re going to go after you. I bought a dog whistle. I bought a dog whistle factory, and I’m giving you dog whistles. And we’re going to listen to every word that comes out of your mouth, and we’re going to hold you to the same standard that you hold us which is an impossible one, and you’re going to have a hell of a time in 2012 because America’s finally woken to your Saul Alinsky bullshit tactics, and we’re coming to get you.

Words that both fire me up and comfort me. RIP Andrew.

They murdered him.
You can pretend all you want to that they didn’t; but they did.

All good Republicans are dead, and if there are a few survivors out there, they have to pretend to be bad, if they want to be nominated.
Lincoln, Ike, Ford, Reagan, G.H. Bush, even Nixon would be considered too liberal by the strident extreme right that dominates the party and has cowed reasonability in the Republican party.
Romney is a modern S. Peter. He had to deny himself thrice before being crucified upside down in Tampa. He denied all the good he did as Governor, he denied he was pro choice, he denied that he was reasonable, and willing to compromise.
What a tragedy to deny goodness to be granted power from the greedy, the bad, and worse.

We can fight back. Go put an empty chair on your front lawn! It is #emptychairday

Anamika, your delusions are quite breathtaking!

Go back to your interdimensional doorway before your counterpart emerges and the two of you annihilate both universes.

But isn’t that the truth? What a different person Romney’s projecting than the one who was a successful governor, the fix it man people would call when no one else knew what to do.
September 2nd, 2012 @ 2:22 pm
And what a different person O is projecting than the one he campaigned as.

He was amazing. And that’s exactly what’s happening. How said that he’s gone.

Ahhh…Breitbart was right about the Right.
I’ve been reading Paulbot walls, and they are still fighting the Primaries (Oy!).
And regards to Anamika’s commnent. This is why the Left loses elections. The Left needs the Emmanuel Goldstein notwithstanding if the GOP candidate (or POTUS) is a Moderate or a Conservative.
Sun Tzu saw your closed mindedness. Anamika’s candidate will lose this election if you (and the rest of the Leftist Tribe) cannot figure who is a Moderate and who is a Social Conservative.
Hint to those not a Leftist Hack: They can’t.

Not at all. He was a pragmatist then and he is equally pragmatic now. As Governor, he had to deal with a state legislature comprised of (mostly) liberal Democrats; as President, he will be governing with a Congress dominated by the GOP, God and the electorate willing.

Anything to change the subject from what a bunch of race-baiting whores Obama and the Left/Media complex are, eh?

Tell that to the cultists over at Conservatives 4 Palin. They’re still fighting October 2011…
They say that Romney lost the Tea Party this election, however if those people don’t elect, they’re condemning themselves to their own doom.
They need to grow the hell up.

I think they’re more mature than you give them credit for. They’re pissed off over the rules changes at the RNC, sure, but if you think they’re going to stay home and suck their thumbs in November, I’d like to see a link backing that up. More likely they’re giving Boehner and company fair warning that after the election the gloves are coming off.

Egg-actly!

The primarying of RINOs begins on November 7.

Clarice Feldman on the media’s open shilling for Obama: http://po.st/Fh8yXi I didn’t realize NBC let Andrea Mitchell step on the first three minutes of Rubio’s speech. Wanna bet she is sitting in silent awe as Bill Clinton takes the stage next week?

Tell more about how much you admire Sarah Palin.
September 3rd, 2012 @ 2:21 am
I like Sarah Palin. She’s a good person and should be the VP right now.
I do not like some of her followers, especially the ones who keep saying “screw you, Romney”. Especially when they decide to forgo kicking out Obama because the RNC wouldn’t put her in the convention.
Yeah, we know you don’t like Romney. Neither do I. But to kick out Obama is first priority, everything else be damned.
September 3rd, 2012 @ 6:21 am
Except of course, a little, casual backhand to Palin, when it can be worked in.
Because of “some of her followers.”
I’m pretty sure I’ve seen far more comments and posts, purportedly from the right, blaming “some of her followers” than there are people who fit the description of over-the-top-Palin-followers. It just gets old.

My chair’s out. There’s a pic of it here on Legal Insurrection.

I added a 3-wood after the pic was taken and a red, white and blue ribbon on the “teleprompter” stand.
