“He’ll Nail Those Debates”

Posted on | October 6, 2012 | 25 Comments

by Smitty

Althouse channeling Melinda Henneberger trying to figure out how BHO would stage a 2016 comeback.

Hahahahahahaha.

The only sense in which BHO would nail a debate in some future election cycle would be if he was giving someone a manicure in the little beauty shop he works in while the debates are on screen.

Could be referring to his next debate on The View? He should have a lot more time for them after January.

Obama will be angry, aggressive and ultimately stupid in the next debate. Sitting in front of an audience of Hofstra bots, he will think he is leading one of his mortgage posses back into a bank boardroom.

I suspect he will be even more shocked when he realizes Mitt doesn’t think he HAS to give him anything.

Also, forget about plants and ringers. It’s Hofstra. Look for a mind-boggling display of boorishness from the audience. Think “Geraldo” without the taste and restraint.

I thought that there was some clause in the debate agreement that there wasn’t supposed to be any
talk back from the audience, or maybe that was just during the format style from last week. Obama doesn’t do well without a cheering audience. Of course, Hofstra students may be boorish anyway; That’s true. Can’t Romney use his “Magical Mormon Hankerchief of Deception”? (as the writer from “Protein Wisdom” brilliantly termed it) to defeat Obama AGAIN?

Gotta understand, it’s Long Island. The guidos all go to St. John’s, the working stiffs’ kids go to Nassau Community College and the bourgeois white liberals and self-loathing Jews’ kids all go to Hofstra. Good behavior is not on the table.

    Richard,

Are you doubting that the completely impartial professional journolista Candy Crowley will put a kibosh on that sort of boorishness? ;^)

But yes, I’m hoping that Obama WILL be angry aggressive (and ultimately stupid) in an attempt to overcompensate for being an empty chair this week. If boorishness from Hofstra students encourages that I hope they start chanting 0-ba-Ma!! or “Death to Conservatives”

Maybe he’ll have his own reality show, “Life With Michelle Without a Taxpayer Fund Credit Card”.

That I would pay money to watch.

No, she’s going to wear condoms for a scarf. Ya, know she’s gotta promote contraception and the phony war on women.

And, of course, the assumption is growth policies will leaven the field for an Alinksyite Communist’s comeback. Hahahahahahahaha. Hahahahahahahaha. WaPo remains my favorite comedy rag.

Add that to the list compiled by Ace, where Ace destroys the “He lost because he is so professorial” ploy.

    (Very well snarked.)

Since Althouse revealed herself to be a racist after the recent Obama tapes were released I haven’t gone back there. I don’t frequent places where different standards of behavior are expected from the different races.

I’d like to see if Michelle plants another garden without White House staff to do everything but the photo ops for her?

There’s no way Barry will come back and run for president in 2016 or ever if he loses. He’s a creation of others and does not have the personal characteristics to put himself forward on his own. They’ll find another photogenic mediocrity to promote their agenda.

Couldn’t agree more. The Democrats and their allies in the press/ entertainment think they can replicate Obama over & over & over. Get someone into the United States Senate (or a Governorship – although Democrats seem to like running U.S. Senators over Governors these days) and then run them immediately before they develop a record they can be held to. This logic perfectly explains why the Democrats and their media allies want to get Elizabeth Warren to the U.S. Senate. Does anyone not think if she wins Warren won’t run for President in 2016?!

The post-Presidency gravy train created by the Clintons will welcome Abu SCOAMF with open arms.

There’s way too much money to be made running your mouth like Ed Schultz, but with that sexy, ex-Presidential cachet to bring in the gigs. Ol’ Ed will cry with joy for the sight of it, and go home and cry in his pillow for not having an equal opportunity.

    (see what I did there?)

I clicked Smitty’s link (being a team player and all), but she is just above Peggy Noonan on my daily, must-read list.

(Assuming Noonan is still alive, of course. I wouldn’t know.)

I don’t think he has a future ala Clinton or even Carter. Obamsky is a smaller than life entity and without a political future he has no future and very little present for that matter. Other than a small group of handlers and sycophants he has no “well” of admirers from his years rising to power who will stick with him after his presidency.
He hasn’t created any relationships with foreign leaders that will stand the test of time. His presidency will be remembered as a disaster by both the right and left. To most who’ve helped his rise, he’s viewed as merely a tool, a means to an end. As they come to realize what a dull tool he is (not to be confused with a blunt instrument which could be useful) he serves no purpose. When not pursuing office he has nothing relevant to say. Other than a political career he has nothing to contribute and his words no meaning.

Man, that would mean he’s gonna end up like Nixon. That would be apropos. Obama deserves that ignominy far more than Nixon did.

But I have a feeling he’ll be more welcome at the podium than the Clintons, who were, after all, hillbillies from Arkansas. Obama is a pure grade academic (as far as those dim bulbs in liberal land can tell), and has his old, terrorist pals to hang out with, as well as a great future shilling for the Saudis. They would be more than happy to pay him princely sums to speak on their behalf.

Like Nixon only without the presidential or pre-presidential accomplishments which in time were the basis for Nixon’s partial rehabilitation. When Nixon’s name is mentioned, Watergate is caveatted by “but he opened up China” or “he put a man on the moon” or “ended the war in Vietnam”. When Obama’s failures come up in future discussion what small successes will be remembered to counterbalance his failures? Everything he’s touched has or will turn to sh!t. Obamacare will be repealed or perhaps yet overturned. If it’s not, it will destroy the economy. Virtually everything he’s done that’s considered good and proper by him and his will be repealed, overturned in court, result in catastrophic disaster or be a contributing factor in a hot civil war.
As for him hitting the lecture circuit, after the novelty of him becoming the first failed openly Bolshevik president, who was black incidentally, subsides who on earth would want to pay money to hear him babble on in front of a teleprompter.
