Alfonzo Rachel’s Important Rant

I like Herman Cain, and this is a great argument.

Given that Gloria Allred delivered the final, crushing blow to the Cain campaign, one is tempted to speculate whether somebody on the Left wasn’t agreeing with Alfonzo Rachel’s thesis.

Hmmmmmm. It seems clear that the answer to our problem is to run Al Sharpton in 2016!

Rachel makes a very good point. Hoping the GOP learns by 2016 is pretty much a triumph of hope over experience. The GOP is still stuck back in the 19th century thinking it can run some guy approved by the plutocrats and win.

I liked Cain, and I’m not certain he had a 13 year relationship on the side. Gloria Allred probably just got some bimbo to ie about it and the he said, she said stuff was enough to make him go away because he was well aware of where that would lead.

I have to say, however, that Cain is right about a Conservative party. The GOP has had its day and its chance. They keep giving us real GOP types to run, and the grassroots need and want a conservative. That is one thing the GOP establishment hates with a white hot hatred. They want FedGov goodies to hand out too and that’s why they can’t allow a conservative to run.

    It’s time for Operation Whig.

What a butt load of crap. Alan Keyes, REALLY? 70% to 27%.

And I stopped listening to the video when Zo finally said we should have nominated Herman Cain. Cain didn’t know his OWN positions on anything much less have a coherent plan for the economy. All Cain had was some almost cute sound bites and a stupid disguised VAT… And the fact that he is black, which would have garnered how many more votes than Romney? Obama’s true believers won’t vote for conservative blacks, either.

Romney wasn’t my choice, either, but this crap has got to stop. The reason Romney lost was a combo of poor swing state GOTV, Romney playing prevent after the first debate, and the primarily white GOP base not voting overall. It had nothing to do with liberal culture or Obama being their vision incarnate.

The fact is that the slate of candidates we had run this cycle were so piss poor that Romney ended up being the best of the sorry lot. Period.

He is certainly correct, though he didn’t actually say it, that we can’t always count on them nominating a Dukakis, Gore or Kerry.
