Sun Rises In East, And President Obama Knew About Benghazi

We explore realms of the obvious:

In a blockbuster report, John Solomon, the former Associated Press and Post reporter, has ferreted out the president’s daily brief that informed him within 72 hours of the Sept. 11 attack that the Benghazi attack was a jihadist operation.

Citing officials directly familiar with the information, Solomon writes in the Washington Guardian that Obama and other administration officials were told that “that the attack was likely carried out by local militia and other armed extremists sympathetic to al-Qaida in the region.”

How could the president and his senior staff then have allowed (or rather, sent) Rice to go out to tell an entirely different tale to the American people on Sept. 16 on five TV shows?

One explanation might be that the President figures we “can’t handle the truth”. And by “can’t handle” I mean “do not deserve” or “lack the power to hold him to anything like doing the job of President”.

Chris Cassone has recorded the Benghazi anthem. Spread it virally. May the deaths of Stevens, Smith, Woods and Doherty, arguably the most blatant combat snuffing since Uriah the Hittite, be a millstone about Obama’s neck.

Aside: just to let you know how far America has fallen, the Russian government has passed a budget, while a buried Ronald Reagan spins with sufficient angular velocity for use as a stable element.

    This scandal is like “Invasion of the Body Snatchers”. The hero (you) knows the truth, but no one (the msm) will listen because they’re part of the coverup.

    OK where is the story – terror was suspected day 1 – talking points were provided that did not stress terror for whatever reason. Patreus supports that fact pattern exactly.

    On Sept. 14, Petraeus gave a briefing to lawmakers in which, according to sources, he stressed the link between the anti-Islam film and the Libya attack — and played down the involvement of terrorist groups.

    On Sept. 16, despite emerging evidence that the attack involved at least some pre-planning, U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice went on five Sunday shows to claim it was spontaneous.

    From Patreus testimony yesterday:
    Petraeus indicated “there was an interagency process to draft [the talking points], not a political process. … They came up with the best assessment without compromising classified information or source or method”

    CBS News reports it “has obtained the CIA talking points given to U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice on Sept. 15 regarding the fatal attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, four days earlier. CBS News correspondent Margaret Brennan says the talking points, which were also given to members of the House intelligence committee, make no reference to terrorism being a likely factor in the assault

    It was simply inconvenient to have al Qaeda killing Americans a week after Obama’s big “al Qaeda is on its heels” party in Charlotte.

    The Stalinist propaganda machine we know as the MSM went along with the cover-up to help his reelection. Unfortunately, they are still powerful enough to make it work.

    Petraeus gave the initial congressional briefing he did on September 14 because that is what he was ordered to do. It was a briefing, a presentation, not testimony under oath. Someone in the White House sterilized the talking points of any terrorist or al Qaeda mentions before allowing them to go out.

    It’s just that simple. There is no mystery at all in any of this.

    So where’s our side in all this? Why isn’t the GOP “leadership” (short of Sens. McCain and Graham of all people) vowing to block Rice, subpoena Clinton, and promising that no cabinet appointments will go through without Obamee coming clean?

    I don’t understand why Republicans aren’t playing every card they have here. They have far more leverage than Obumble and he knows it.

    Just a few questions – and these are not facetious: Is FOX part of MSM? Who controls the Stalinist machine? And, now, that Patraeus is private citizen was he still following orders when he briefed folks yesterday?

    You mean then that the President did not have the Libyan Embassy’s ‘six’ – is that your point?

    The embassy was attacked – the President ‘tipped his hand’ that we thought terrorism was a possibility saying we would not be deterred by acts of terror – there were conflicting talking points generated by and agreed upon by the intelligence community – these were parroted by Susan Rice – and now, Patraeus notes that sensitive information was scrubbed from the unclassified version.

    Still don’t see the story — if you are saying that administrations are selective in how they disclose information – that is not a new story . As you are aware Colin Powell was hung out to dry by the Bush administration faulty intelligence. I do not know your position on that misinformation but my point is the CIA and administration know the information and it is being disclosed slowly and poorly.

    But the real questions are: why security was not provided in advance of the attack. Who asked for security and when and to whom. why did the congress not provide the full budget request for security. These are things we should find out and I am sure we will.
