Chuck Schumer’s Compromise Plan: ‘Bend Over and Grab Your Ankles, Republicans’
Posted on | June 13, 2013 | 19 Comments
‘Thanks for the compromise, Marco. Now go fix me a sandwich.’
“Pro-tip for Republicans: if Obama, Schumer, Dick Durbin, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, La Raza, and the SEIU is really really really for something, it’s probably best for you to oppose it.”
— Jeff Goldstein, Protein Wisdom
You have to smile at the childish naïveté behind these headlines:
Rubio: ‘I’m done’ if immigration bill
includes gay couple amendment
— Yahoo News
Who are these Republicans who imagine that notorious liars like Chuck Schumer can be trusted to negotiate in good faith? Where does the GOP find such hopelessly persistent fools? Why didn’t someone warn Marco Rubio not to align himself with the Open Borders Caucus?
[A]mnesty cheerleaders like Lindsey Graham … give Chuck Schumer’s bill its transparently thin négligée of “bipartisanship” . . .
And speaking of négligées:
In the future, every American who is not in a gay marriage with a foreigner will be denounced as a HATER! news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/r… #tcot

Seriously: How soon before college orientation “diversity” seminars start requiring freshmen to get sodomized by foreign-exchange students?
One hesitates to joke about such things, considering recent innovations in the middle school “Diversity Days” curriculum.
Happy 14th Birthday! (Batteries not included.)

@smitty_one_each That seems to be the GOP “compromise” plan, any more…

The 4 GOP member s of the gang of 8 are fools, pure and simple.
Rubio is an utter idiot that has sold his birth right and should never be trusted again. I’d like to know the real difference between Rubio and Crist. My memory seems to be fading.

Pretty Little Liars Separated at Birth updated with new TOM link!
Now we know why Schumer is grinning so much. He likes giving it to the pretty Republicans Rubio and Ryan.
Graham must be so jealous, I am surprised he has not thrown a hissy fit yet.

They’re not trusting Schumer to be anything but what he is, and they want to be.

For those without time to study any given issue, here’s a tip: anything that makes Chuck Schumer smile cannot be good for America.
The real scandal of this “reform” bill isn’t amnesty for the 10 million illegals already here, that’s small potatoes. The worst of it is the mechanisms it creates to bring 30-50 million new low- or unskilled immigrants into the country over the next ten years, mainly via family connections, without hope for jobs or opportunity but eligible for public assistance via welfare, SNAP, and ObamaCare.
The Democrats are constructing a Permanent Welfare State and a Permanent Electoral Majority, and too many Republicans are rushing to assist them in some misguided crusade to please big corporate contributors.

If we want to solve this immigration mess. Here’s an idea. If you’re illegal and want to come in out of the shadows, come in. We’ll give you a Red card and a tax ID number.
As soon as you have your red card you can start to serve your 25 year term of being excluded from a path to citizen ship and you can start paying taxes. You don’t have to pay the payroll tax since we won’t let you collect Social Security, but your boss still has to pay his share to make it likely he won’t hire red cards to shave his tax liability. If your kids are born here, they’re citizens and they can (with the scorn only a child can show his parents) teach you how to speak English.
Oh and by the way, Red cards that decide to be criminals get deported. No ifs, buts or oh my poor family’s.

I thought Rubio promised to quit the Gang of 8 if the border enforcement amendment failed. Now it’s gay couples. What’ll be next?
June 13th, 2013 @ 6:28 pm
I didn’t trust Rubio from the beginning.
June 13th, 2013 @ 6:30 pm
I think the poor guy’s just confused. He’s pretending to be something he’s not – like on our side.
June 13th, 2013 @ 6:55 pm
Rubio sure has turned into a disappointment. Oh well, folks down in Florida have 3 years to find someone to replace him with.
June 13th, 2013 @ 6:56 pm
Anyone in this country should return to their country of origin and apply like every other immigrant to come into the US legally.
We already have laws they just aren’t being enforced. We don’t need anymore.

[…] an open mind when it comes to the House bill. Isn’t that just fantastic? It’s like the Republicans are just bending right over for those […]

Rubio just managed to hide behind the fact that he seemed so much better than Crist. Actually, he was just better at hiding the real Rubio.
June 14th, 2013 @ 12:00 am
That kind of sounds like what Ted Cruz claims he wants.
I’m willing to discuss something like that, but only after the border has been secured for five years.
As in: we have metrics that prove it.

Dude could’a been a contenhah! Now he’s just bug juice on the Conservative windshield.
June 14th, 2013 @ 12:59 am
You’d think the Democrats would be more in favor of sodomy laws. Because, of course, the government hates competition.
June 14th, 2013 @ 7:47 am
Damn, K-Bob, you’re a poet!
June 14th, 2013 @ 5:18 pm
I wondered about that reply a moment. Then I had this epiph.., efif.., well anyway…
I think actual poetry was invented by people striving for word economy. And it happens by accident more than intention. Everything else is just “libretto.” (Or Vogon poetry, like I occasionally excrete.)
