Obama Administration Gets Its Benghazi On Over In Afghanistan

This is just despicable:

KABUL — A growing number of Afghan interpreters who worked alongside American troops are being denied U.S. visas allotted by Congress because the State Department says there is no serious threat against their lives.
But the interpreters, many of whom served in Taliban havens for years, say U.S. officials are drastically underestimating the danger they face. Immigration attorneys and Afghan interpreters say the denials are occurring just as concerns about Taliban retribution are mounting due to the withdrawal of U.S. forces.

Not only is our rodeo clown administration laying a death sentence on everybody who ever provided any assistance to the U.S., it’s worse than that. Stand by, once these guys are certain that they’ve been sold out, we can expect some unexpected, tragic news. If you take a really bad inner-city gang warfare scene, throw in a religious twist and kitchen sink explosives, you have an idea of Afghanistan. It’s a land of highland Inigo Montoyas, and we’ll never live down this sort of backstabbing.

I guess if we didn’t have the travesty of Benghazi to reflect upon, this dishonorable idiocy might seem startling.

Do you remember what happened in Vietnam after we left? It wasn’t pretty. We have a reputation for selling out allies.

I am not at all for Islamic immigration. But interpreters and those who directly assisted us should be an exception.

The sorry despicable bastard. There’s a special place in Hell reserved for that SOB.

I couldn’t have said it better and I admire your admirable restraint, Mike.

When you say “we”, you should be more clear. The Democrats have created that reputation, starting with JFK going wobbly on the Cuban exiles, continuing through the Democrat-controlled Congress shafting South Vietnam, and now this. Good thing Ike was in charge when Korea wound down, or they’d probably all be singing the praises of Great Successor in Seoul these days.

Is it that the fish rots from the head down? Self-centered chief executive generates policy that reflects his character?

  • smitty

    That’s a nuance lost elsewhere.

  • Adjoran

No there isn’t. He’ll be in with all the other wretches.

    Bastard only THINKS he’s special.

Taken as whole fabric, Obama’s policy in the Middle East and South Asia can be seen as one of capitulation to islamist extremists where possible, abandonment of old allies without a thought, and sending the clear signal that the United States is neither a dependable friend nor ally.

To Obama, this message is a feature, not a bug.

Thank God the French had the cojones to stop his latest bend-over. We all knew he would grab ankles and twerk for Putin, but that the French can do it to him too is a happy surprise.

I’m all about the nuance when it comes to the military.

It isn’t stopped merely slowed for the moment.

Not sure it is ‘capitulation to…’, more like ‘promotion of…..’
