Sum Ting Wong At CNN

Via Zero Hedge, the CNN clown car is revved up to Full Tilt Boogie:

One has to wonder if this is an innocent typo, or a Freudian slip. There seems an interest in projecting violent acts onto conservatives and veterans. This blog doubles down on its hope that #OccupyResoluteDesk dies old, full of years, and acutely aware of what a no-talent rodeo clown he really is.

I wish Zero Hedge would change their comment system. after about 10 replies to replies . . etc. it becomes unreadable.

Other than that, I think a lot of people wondered about how convenient it was for Obama to get Osama yet even knowing the intense scrutiny still gave out a stupid full of holes story that seems to be the hallmark of an Obama Regime: Lie but Lie Badly.

I share the hope that Obama lives to a ripe old age, just like Jimmy Carter. I doubt, however, that he’ll ever admit to himself what a complete zero he is. Still, he can share Jimmy Carter’s fate: He can be the one who’s wisdom is never sought, who’s experience is never consulted. He can be an ex-president nobody wants to be seen with.

Did anbody wake up Joe Biden and tell him about this?

It doesn’t matte how badly he lies: a solid 40%, plus, will still believe everything he says.

Physiologically, I think Biden is awake. But, the lights are on, but no one is home.

The only difference between Carter and Obama is Carter at least helped build some Habitat houses over the years. Obama’s legacy will be how many golf rounds he can tally.

Bush kept that same % right up till the end (I think he dropped below it when the financial meltdown happened). It is a given in politics now a days.

So what’s the real story? The secret service has a walrus in custody? And they’re water boarding it? Wouldn’t a walrus actually like that?

He’ll be shunned as ex-President. Even many of his allies only put up with him because of his power. What everyone warned came to pass. He’s a guy with a gift for details but which all add up to nothing. He had no real world experience in anything and his driving ideology is based on a chimera that never took place. That chimera is the hopelessly provincial view that the history of the world can be reduced to a type of colonial white Jim Crow. Ergo run up bills on whitey, reduce his demographic and paradise emerges.

The reality is that is much the same paradise as Jakarta or Katmandu.

The irony of the immortal “Sum Ting Wong” incident is that KTVU is one of the more responsible MSM outlets in the Bay Area. They used to be excellent in the days when current WND columnist Barbara Simpson was a co-anchor.

All the beat up old vans were scrapped in the stimulus plan that the Democrats touted as the new CCC/WPA to stop a depression.

Freudian slip, now that Obamacare lies and doubling down on silly climate alarm has suddenly destroyed liberalism for a generation. The liberal arts are now doomed as far as a their intellectual ground goes. A likely fully conservative government in 2016 would wholesale defund liberalism on campus, justifiably so.

He’s a guy with a gift for details but which all add up to nothing.

Whatever Obama is, a man with a gift for details he has not. Mr. Carter was a conscientious wonk. One career official in the Defense Department said that James Schlesinger was a ‘forest man’, Harold Brown was a ‘tree man’, and that Jimmy Carter was a ‘leaf man’. It was part of his undoing. George Bush the Elder was asked about how he would go about administrative tasks and he said he had different ways than Reagan or Carter. Re Carter, he said “I won’t be deciding who gets to use the White House tennis courts”.

Well, the way it works is this: the volunteers get the supplies and lumber, etc., donated and begin to build the house. After framing, the press turns out, Carter & entourage arrive in limos. Jimmah pops out in jeans and flannel shirt, puts on a carpentry belt and poses for pictures with a hammer and nail. He never actually strikes the nail.

Then he hops in the limo, rides away, the press leaves, and the volunteers build the house. On average, the new owners default on their reduced mortgage payments within three years.

But everyone gets to feel good about themselves, especially Carter.

Dish network is now blissfully free of CNN. So the airports are about the only large room they have left to play in.

We should start a deadpool on when Wolf ends up taking over Ed’s slot at MSNBC.

Biggest problem over there is the stupid habit of folks assuming the only comment they can make is in response to the first one. TheBlaze website is the same way.

It’s as dumb as when people write with their own ballpoint pens on the credit card machine in the grocery line.

As a carpenter I’d love to see him try to drive a nail, especially when he hits (as everybody who does it often, does) the ”wrong” nail.

It wouldn’t even be that hard. Allow student loans to be discharged in bankruptcy, and roll back federally subsidized loans to only cover programs named in the original National Defense Education Act. The resulting wave of bankruptcies would cripple higher education in non-STEM areas for a generation or two. Maybe three.

Your talking about one trillion in repudiated debt. Not necessarily an absolute reason not to do it but reason enough to think such a plan through thoroughly. Further more in many case the parents are co-signers. And last but certainly not least there are implicit and explicit government guarantees backing those loans.

  40. Daniel Freeman
    November 11th, 2014 @ 12:20 am

Another issue is that hooking up with a gal can put you on the hook for her student loans, no matter how useless her major or how brief your connection, and they will surely go after everyone they can when the going gets tough. However, I don’t think that all trillion will go belly-up at once, and any short-term concerns could be worth it in the long run anyway, to change the culture.
