Violent crime in Baltimore has escalated to the point it’s actually worse than Detroit. Baltimore’s homicide rate has increased 56% this year compared to 2014, and every day brings new headlines about the bloody crime wave:

The son of a high-ranking Baltimore police commander has been charged with murder in the stabbing death of his roommate Monday in Southwest Baltimore, police said.
Melvin Russell, 28, the son of Lt. Col. Melvin Russell, was arrested Tuesday in connection with the killing, police said. The elder Russell leads the Police Department’s Community Collaboration Unit and has been at the forefront of neighborhood outreach efforts at a time of heightened tensions.
The younger Russell was charged with first- and second-degree murder, assault and weapons violations. Police said he and his 49-year-old roommate got into a fight in the 4900 block of Challedon Road and both sustained stab wounds. Both were taken to hospitals, where the roommate was pronounced dead, police said.

    You kind of have to wonder what is it about the roommate relationship that could lead a 49-year-old man and a 28-year-old man to be so angry with one another that knives are drawn and stabs are made.

    What are the odd that some multi-colored flags are involved? And, if so, will there be nation-wide calls to ban multi-colored flags?

    Also: don’t rule out that they were straight, but former drinkers or drug addicts. They often room together as they’re trying to get their lives back together.

    Given the current atmosphere between police and citizens in Baltimore I think a reboot of The Wire would be interesting.

    Of those murders all but 2 of the victims were black. All but one of the suspects were black. No white people were victims or suspects.

    Clearly this demonstrates the power of “white privilege.”

    And it’s working- but the increased violence is happening to black people.
    These people screw up everything they touch.
    It goes to substantiate what has been an axiom for millennia- sub-Saharan Africans and their descendants are incapable of living in and maintaining an orderly society.
    This, of course, allowing for the exception of those who have adapted to more civilized cultures. Those people who do adapt and succeed are an anomaly within their race and castigated for ” not being black enough. “
