These people don’t give a damn about those four men, except to the extent that it affects the election. These people should hounded out of American public life and dogged by questions concerning their role in this FUBAR ’til they are dead and gone.

Axelrod knows he’s dodged that bullet – for now. The truth WILL come out. Fortunately it appears Romney has enough momentum without it.

Are ALL Obama supporters lying traitors who hate America, or just 99% of them?

I don’t wish to excuse peoples’ ignorance, but I’m amazed at how the media blackout (R5cist term!) of Obama’s blatant Stalinism over the last year has worked to maintain his loyal base.

You find someone who is willing to listen, and tell them about Benghazi, and they just look at you like they’ve never heard of such things.

    Jeff Goldstein nails it [again]:

It never even occurred to Axelrod, I’ll wager, to handle that question with an air of dignity or gravitas, to be somber and as forthcoming as he is capable. Instead, like the President himself — who is indignant that anyone would dare question him on the issue, and “hurt” by suggestions he didn’t try to move Heaven and Earth to save Americans — he immediately retreated to the cover so many on the left allow themselves, a suggestion that the very questioning, when it comes from those who are perceived as enemies, is unfair and, in a way, ridiculous.

    – Because what, you really expect to get an honest answer, teabaggers? Seriously?

Either you’re with Obama or you’re the enemy.

Reading Jeff’s post also brings to mind that people on “our side” think we should just get along with these clowns in true bi-partisanship, for the good of the country, instead of just crushing them and thier ideology. Axelroids antics here should remind us that the Dems, given the chance, would crush our ideology without thinking twice about it.

Well put, but I have one important quibble…

To be a conservative is to reject ideology. All ideologies believe they have The Answer – the scheme that will bring about Heaven On Earth. To be an ideologue is to subscribe to a system of ideas developed in the sterile laboratories of the mind, shielded from Reality.

The conservative is the exact opposite. As Russell Kirk put it:

For there exists no Model Conservative, and conservatism is the negation of ideology: it is a state of mind, a type of character, a way of looking at the civil social order.

The attitude we call conservatism is sustained by a body of sentiments, rather than by a system of ideological dogmata. It is almost true that a conservative may be defined as a person who thinks himself such. The conservative movement or body of opinion can accommodate a considerable diversity of views on a good many subjects, there being no Test Act or Thirty-Nine Articles of the conservative creed.

Axelrod and the other members of the Socialist Cells in America want to crush us because we can’t be made to tow The Party Line specifically because we reject all such ‘Lines’ and put our trust and faith in our fellow men and, most importantly, in God.

It just boils down to intelligence, education, willingness to see the truth. Some people just don’t want truth. They see their own little point of view. And like Bob Belvedere said–“Brain Damage” is part of it!
