LGF Auto-Beclownment Update

Posted on | May 24, 2013 | 29 Comments

Really, I should feel guilty for so thoroughly enjoying these predictable outbreaks of Johnsonian idiocy. In case you didn’t notice, the terrorist attack in London this week was not committed by radical Belgians or militant creationists or any of the other overblown right-wing bogeymen that occupy the demented mind of Jazzy McPonytail.

No, it was Michael Olumide Adebolajo.

Damn that Pamela Geller!

UK JIHAD MURDERERS WERE
PREVIOUSLY INVESTIGATED BY TERROR PROBE

It’s so unfair for her to be right and popular and successful, while CJ is a wrong, unpopular failure. But nevertheless, his downward spiral into humilation and obscurity continues.

It was reported that Adebolajo, who is not Belgian, was associated with radical leader Anjem Choudary, but before this connection could be fully confirmed, Charles Johnson got into a hilarious dispute with his henchperson Killgore Trout over the definition of “affiliated.”

CHARLES JOHNSON IS NEVER WRONG!

Except when he is, which is pretty much every day now, and I almost feel guilty for enjoying it so much.

Almost, I said . . .

Just remember what PM Cameron had to say about this incident:

No worries, Islam is not to blame! These weren’t the real, good, wonderful muslims that they tell us about!

    http://news.yahoo.com/uk-pm-cameron-says-london-attack-betrayal-islam-105808577.html

UK PM Cameron says London attack was betrayal of Islam

    LONDON
(Reuters) – British Prime Minister David Cameron said the brutal
killing of a soldier who was hacked to death in London by two men
shouting Jihadist slogans was a betrayal of Islam.

    “We will never
give in to terror or terrorism in any of its forms,” Cameron told
reporters outside his Downing Street residence on Thursday.

    “This
was not just an attack on Britain and on the British way of life, it
was also a betrayal of Islam and of the Muslim communities who give so
much to our country. There is nothing in Islam that justifies this truly
    dreadful act.”

There is nothing in Islam that justifies this truly dreadful act. Now, let’s import millions more! And you had better not oppose us as we transform the country, you racist Hobbits.

[…] I do not know Johnson personally, but he exemplifies everything I hate about the Left. Intellectual cowardice, arrogance steeped in closed-mindedness, and the inability to see just how much of a bigot he is. So, I take joy, at least a little in watching Stacy McCain mock CJ, who, I remind y’all, USED to b… […]

Also, when he let himself be fooled by a phony Photoshop of some Belgian (or was it Dutch) anti-jihad leader in front of a neo-Nazi banner.

The thing is, when Charles started slipping away, nobody actually understood what was happening. You can read the transcript of the 2011 Blogmocracy interview with Andrew Breitbart: and see how much credibility Charles had circa 2006-07. So when CJ first started his crazed vendetta against Pamela Geller in October 2007, a lot of people took it seriously and got the idea that Geller had done something wrong.

In fact (although I think Charles purged the evidence from the LGF archives long ago) what happened was that Charles let himself be deceived by commenters whose motives were highly dubious. The anti-Geller commenters showed up in the LGF thread about the October 2007 Brussels anti-jihad conference, quoting and linking stuff from European leftist sites that portrayed all of the European anti-jihad activists as crypto-fascists with “links and ties” to extremist groups. True enough, there were a few people whose backgrounds were a bit sketchy, but not to such an extent that — in trying to foster ties between American conservatives and a nascent European anti-jihad movement, which was Geller’s mission — a wholesale public repudiation was required, and that kind of repudiation was what Charles demanded.

What that episode demonstrated was that Charles Johnson didn’t have any extensive understanding of how coalition politics works in the real world, and also that Charles had such an arrogant view of his own authority that he was unable to admit error. I don’t have time to go throw the whole story again here, but when you had people like Diana West vouching for Geller’s European allies, and yet CJ didn’t have the good sense to recognize and admit he was wrong, you understood that the problem wasn’t Geller or her allies, the problem was Charles.

Funny, Leftistas ALWAYS know (but can’t quote where) how the Bible purports to require Gay Priest predation, but when it comes to Islam they can declare NOTHING THERE YOU FILTHY HOBBITTSES

Fair enough. That was about the time I became aware he had a problem.

The Tennessee flag thing though — by the time he finally acknowledged he might have been mistaken about what the flag was, he was so invested that he had to argue that because Tennessee is a southern state it might as well be a neo-Nazi symbol.

Fat, stoned and doubling down is no way to go through life, CJ.

Yeah, I also like it when they say stuff like Chritianity did so and so in 1860, to excuse what Muslims are doing today. That’s a favorited apologetic at LGF these days. Like the world hasn’t changed an iota since then.

There is no such thing as “mild dosagreement ” with management over there. Any disagreement is wild heresy that must be stamped out with extreme prejudice, as you have witnessed.

It’s not like we have to know today how God made it all happen. So watching people argue about it is like watching people argue over what shoes to wear in their own casket.

It was so minor I can’t even recall what it was. (Although, yes, heretics like me must be banished!) As best I can recall, it wasn’t even political, just some bit of pseudoscience I found fault with. And as I recall, it wasn’t even a comment I’d made, I simply “disliked” one of the comments.
