Rush Limbaugh, Jew-Hater?

One of the silliest smears in recent memory from the despicable Abe Foxman:

Rush Limbaugh reached a new low with his borderline anti-Semitic comments about Jews as bankers, their supposed influence on Wall Street, and how they vote.

What Limbaugh was actually talking about was the possibility that the Obama administration’s attack on “Big Banks” involved an undercurrent of anti-Semitism:

To some people, banker is a code word for Jewish; and guess who Obama is assaulting? He’s assaulting bankers. He’s assaulting money people. And a lot of those people on Wall Street are Jewish. So I wonder if there’s – if there’s starting to be some buyer’s remorse there.

This is a fragment (which Foxman got from Media Matters, naturally) of a longer discussion about voters feeling “buyer’s remorse” about the Obama administration. Limbaugh pointed out that 78% of Jewish voters went for Obama and, after some discussion of that, then tied it into the Obama administration’s push for punitive action against the financial services industry.

Limbaugh was suggesting that any populist rhetorical offensive against “Big Banks” has a certain kind of nudge, nudge you-know-who-we-mean appeal. Liberals like Foxman are evidently blind to this element of coded sub rosa anti-Semitism in the Left’s assault on economic liberty. And so Limbaugh gets smeared.

As a Jew, I’m embarrassed by the faux non-partisanship of Foxman and ADL.

In honor of the Four Questions of Pesach, here are the Four Question every Conservative and republican must ask ourselves:

Where was Foxman and the ADL when Bush was being tagged as “BusHitler,” for overthrowing a dictator who gave funds to Pali suicide bombers?

Where was Foxman and the ADL during the ant-war protests during the last administration that called Israeli’s criminals?

Where was Foxman and the ADL when President Obama completely upbraids Netanyahu but is silent with atrocities against Jews agaound the word since 2009?

Where was Foxman and the ADL when Adrew Sullivan, The Atlantic magazine’s main writer and President Obama’s favorite Blogger, attacks Jews and Israel on a daily basis?

The next meme the Right Blogosphere should start for Monday is: Fire Foxman unless he answers those Four Questions.

Well of course he’s a Jew-hater. Rush tries to hint at an underlying anti-semitism on BO’s part by playing up an insidious stereotype, therefore exposing himself as the Jew hating bastard that he is.Major fail!
It’s simple,really. I can, for example, say that the Conservative hatred towards Hollywood is really a coded hatred towards Jews because, you know, Jews run Hollywood. That in turn would make me an anti-semite for playing up an insidious stereotype. Get it?
Probably not, because Cons will never get it.

Maybe, Stacy, you are trying to somehow make up for your “relocation” gaffe?
The real story here is that Rush is inelegantly trying to turn the tea-bagger angst against Wall Street into something that it isn’t because, you know, Cons like Rush don’t buy into that
kind of stuff.
More future confusion for the GOP perhaps.Hmmmmm?

Adherents to the Gospel of The Right Honorable Reverend Wright know how to blow that dog-whistle and ring their cow-bell. Professor Limbaugh was merely translating it for the general public.

BTW, young4eyes: the Tea-Partiers have no angst uber Wall Street, they just object to the Feds forcing them to make bad loans and using taxpayer monies to paper over the resultant mess.

As a regular listener to Rush Limbaugh I can emphatically state that he is not and never has been an anti-Semite. The creeps perpetuating this smear are not regular listeners of Rush Limbaugh. He is a very outspoken supporter of Israel and has never been afraid to voice his support.

It’s amazing how liberals twist and turn to get Rush’s words to fit their smear templates. The jig is up because they’ve been trying to bring Rush down for decades now. Yawn.

It’s not just that Rush may be a closet anti-Semite, but, more importantly, he is an unapologetic, right wing pariah. Isn’t it ironic that every single day he has a wealth of anti-Obama material that he tries to exploit for the sake of personal ratings and the advancement of his ultra right agenda. Truth be told, anti-Semitism is only the tip of a massive iceberg that is filled with all sort of invective.
