Iowahawk Rocks. Again.

One likes to get beyond the “look here” post. The latest Iowahawk skewering of liberalism achieves his usual high standards.

Let me point out a couple of bits that might escape if you for whatever reason. The title alludes to Joseph Conrad’s classic Heart of Darkness. This masterpiece (and I’m a tremendous Conrad fan) was plucked from central Africa in the days of Imperialism and plopped in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam Conflict as Apocalypse Now.

I don’t know if Iowahawk plans a series, but climaxing at a demented Von Drehle somewhere at the headwaters of the Mississippi, clutching a copy of the Constitution and mumbling “…the debt…the debt…the debt…” would be my approach.

Actually, I have my own little bit of madness wanting for attention right now. Excuse me.

The headwaters of the Mississippi being located in scandi infested Lower Canuckistan, Von Drehle’s dying words would probably be something like “the lutefisk… the lutefisk… “
