Never Question The Magnitude Of The Patriotism Of Howard Dean

by Smitty (h/t The Lonely Conservative)
This is nine months old, but the most important thing to do is savor the matchless patriotism on display:
International greetings : Greetings from Howard Dean from PES_Party of European Socialists on Vimeo.
Additionally convenient: don’t ask toward which country Howard Dean is patriotic. It might not be the same as the one for which he was an erstwhile Presidential candidate.
In defense of Dean, he opposes the GZM.
Which, apparently, found scant approval in some circles:

The political ideology of PES and S&D(of the European Parliament) is one of social democracy, not socialism.
Since when did having views on global issues that align with social democracy become unpatriotic?
Ever heard of Ralph Nader? He is the only only American politician who ran for presidential and is a social democrat.

My God, this man, once potentially our president, is a puppet. I’ve never heard so much blather, Eurospeak, Greenpuke in my life.
But, Hitler, now that’s just funny.

I have an urge, every time I see Howard Dean, to punch him in the face. Why is that? It is more than me not being a social democrat.
waylay, have you ever read Eon? You would like it.

Joe, i haven’t read Eon, I not being a science fiction fan and such, but i have read Toland and his Adolf Hitler: The Definitive Biography. I think you will like it. Actually, i kinda liked Adolf after reading it π I was routing for Hitler/Axis powers midway through the book π It is a non-judgmental portrayal of the man, kinda like the film Der Untergang (Downfall), the book is of course very detailed and more satisfying.
PS. Thanks for the recommendation, i’ll keep an eye out for Eon.

Don’t get me wrong guys, i was also routing for the Hitler’s assassination plan to succeed; was very saddened when they failed and almost all of them got executed; and was very happy for the one guy who escaped from the Nazis.
Also please don’t let my remarks mislead you about the quality of Toland’s amazing piece of work. Very rarely do you find historians like him.
“the first book that anyone who wants to learn about Hitler or the war in Europe must read… a marvel of fact.”–Newsweek
“Based on previously unpublished documents, diaries, notes, photographs, and dramatic interviews with Hitler’s colleagues and associates, this is the definitive biography of one of the most despised yet fascinating figures of the 20th century. Toland won the Pulitzer Prize in 1971 for The Rising Sun: The Decline and Fall of the Japanese Empire, 1936-1945.”

Btw I was disappointed to know that all three US aircraft carriers were unfortunately away during the Pearl Harbor attack.
And was totally devastated by the outcome of the Battle of Midway.

You will love Eon waylay. If you like the idea of people more than a 1,000 years from now treating your hero as a Buddha like figure.
Curious you are a fan of Adolf. I agree he was just a man and should be treated as such. Not because he deserves it, hardly, he was a evil piece of scum. But because thinking of him as some Nietzschian anti-superman misses the point on how an evil idea can spread and take hold of a people. Hitler is an example of what happens when pathetic dwarves like him rise to power in a leadership cult.
