Let me be clear: it was modern art.

How, thought I, could one describe the current Administration’s economic policy using only half a pizza on a stand in an Italian restaurant? The answer proved to be lifting off one more piece, so that the remaining half gravity-checked itself on the deck next to Stacy McCain, whose attention threatened to divert from the Alabama game on the telly to that distant thing known as reality, but then held onto the game.

Nevertheless, the half a pizza on the deck, crying to be bailed out at the expense of generations unborn, was the most profound thing I could come up with at that time and place. What can I say, Mrs. Other McCain? I tried.

Oh, you didn’t come here for crack-head attempts to spin an outburst of idiocy on my part? OK, on with the show.
