Rule 5 Sunday dawns, with a healthy selection of beauty across the spectrum.
For starters, we’ll separate out the topic of Katy Perry getting her Elmo on, or mostly on. SNL’s season opener with Katy Perry was mostly bad. Last night’s was an even worse mis-use of free speech.
- SNL: Kristen Wiig is a comic genius, but even she can’t elevate blowing a whistle via flatus to the level of funny.
- SNL: quit treating your cast like a collection of chamber pots.
- SNL: quit insulting your audience.
