How dare he disagree with Bill Kristol!
Former Vice President Dick Cheney says Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak is a “good man” who has been “a good friend and ally of the United States.”
“We need to remember that,” Cheney said in remarks during an event in Santa Barbara, California Saturday to commemorate the 100th birthday of Ronald Reagan.

I disagree with your predicate — that it’s a problem if “lefties” go nuts over Cheny endorsing Mubarak — (that’s the appropriate reaction when one venal lizard makes nice to another), but your conclusion is spot on, I believe. The folks over there are the ones who have to sort things out themselves, whatever we think they should do.
