Joe Miller Lives!

Costa at NRO has an update:

No longer in the national spotlight, Miller remains active in politics, speaking at tea-party rallies. I caught up with him in this small, suburban town, just north of Philadelphia, about an hour before he spoke at a tea-party event at a local farm, where he endorsed upstart Senate candidate Marc Scaringi, a former Rick Santorum aide, who is challenging Sen. Bob Casey (D., Pa.).

Over coffee, Miller told me that he is not ready to endorse a presidential candidate, but finds Rick Perry and Michele Bachmann near the top of his list. He also thinks that Sarah Palin, despite the buzz, will jump in. “My gut is that she’s going for it,” he says. “I know the polling data and facts on the ground may suggest otherwise, but she would be a wonderful addition to the fray. I think she would enliven the debate. She would embolden and motivate the tea-party base, bringing an outside-the-establishment perspective, which is really needed.”

Equally provocative stuff at the link.

As with Sharron Angle, Joe Miller showed that ye olde evil Ruling Class Overlords will fight for their right to party on the Titanic, rather than let anyone save the ship.

I’d vote for any American not part of the establishment or a Kommiecrat

Hey Joe, are you just another puffed up and pumped up tea party circus clown?

All you need is one of those big red noses and your costume will be complete.

Or maybe you already have one.

Joe Miller is a classic example of how conservatives aren’t beaten by the left or “the Establishment,” we beat ourselves with weak candidates.

For reference, see also:  Angle, Maes, Buck, and O’Donnell.  Visiting hours are every weekend, but you will have to leave all sharp objects, belts, and shoelaces with the nice man at the control center.

Rubbish. In both Angle and Miller’s cases, if the GOP “establishment” had shown the unity they expect from CONSERVATIVES, they would’ve won in a walk.

Stop swallowing the meme and check the actual results. There was nothing ‘weak’ about either Angle or Miller as a candidate, if the GOP hadn’t pulled a Huffman NY-23 on them.

Angle’s problem was she had been a bomb thrower for most of her career. She forgot at times that once she started running for Senate her voice reached many more people some of whom were just waiting for that soundbite to use against her. A lack of sensitivity to the sensibilities of whatever the victim group de jure happens to be is fine by me. A lack of awareness of how that could be used against one politically is another matter.

As for Miller the fact that Murcowsky had nothing fear from the GOP for her betrayal says it all.

Adobe, that’s the conventional wisdom. But the simple facts of the electoral math show that isn’t the truth. If Angle and Miller had gotten 90-95% from the GOP, like a GOP candidate typically obtains, they would’ve won in a walk.

It wasn’t independents either candidate lost. It wasn’t an inability to attract conservative democrats. It wasn’t electability, since they WON among independents.

It was disloyalty from the Establishment. The very people who are always telling Conservatives to ‘sit down, shut up, and vote for whose turn it is.’ But hey, if you want to keep letting the Establishment pick candidates for you, go ahead.

I’ll be sure to vote 3rd party before I vote for another Rovian selection–like Romney, for instance.

I’m sorry, apparently “As for Miller the fact that Murcowsky had NOTHING to FEAR from the GOP for her BETRAYAL says it all.” didn’t say as much as I’d hoped.
