    Watching the Gingrich thing, I’m reminded of how much most people don’t follow politics very closely.  2 years ago is a long time, never mind 16 years ago.

    I’m reminded of the Manhattan socialite who couldn’t understand how Nixon could have possibly won, when she didn’t know anyone who had voted for him.
