Advice to Tourists: When seeking a tropical resort destination, try to avoid locations where the beach is right next to the airport runway:

By the way, this never happens to tourists in sunny Vanuatu.

    If YouTube is anything to go by that happens a lot. Guess that’s why they never sold ringside seats to Shuttle launches.

    Some people would take this opportunity to point out the possible snark had the title of that video had been “Boy blown by a plane”. 

    But not me.  I merely note that some people are quite  unscrupulous.

    Here’s another view.  This is a tourist attraction.  People go to this beach specifically to be blasted by airliners.  Too bad for the poor pilots.

    When I was in high school I knew people who used to go to Roaches Run which is a park along the Potomac near the runway at Reagan National Airport. After consuming..um..things some would go out on the runway. Apparently the game involved hanging onto runway lights as planes came and went.
    While being trained to qualify for an ID allowing me to get on the runway at RDU we were shown a video of a pickup truck behind I believe a 737 as it fired up. The truck was considerably farther away than that fence in the video, the jets blast rolled that truck end over end and side over side for a couple hundred feet then up and over a 30 or 40 ft berm surrounding a pond. I’m amazed those people in the video aren’t tossed into the ocean.
