GOOD NEWS!

The insanity defense works for smoking in an airport:

Denver Police say they’re not going to investigate a case involving a woman who stripped naked at Denver International Airport on Tuesday. . . .
The woman was reportedly upset and was taken to a local hospital for a mental evaluation.

Judging from available photos, the woman was a Reubensque natural blonde. More background on the case:

A female passenger at Denver International Airport caused a stir Tuesday morning when she stripped naked inside Concourse B, airport officials said.
The incident happened at about 8:45 a.m. when, according to DIA spokeswoman Jenny Schiavone, the woman was caught smoking a cigarette at gate B81, in a non-smoking area.
At some point after airport workers told her to extinguish the cigarette, the woman took off her clothing. It wasn’t immediately clear why. However, Denver Police say it was unrelated to the smoking issue.

So if you’re caught smoking in an airport, just take off all your clothes and plead insanity. We’ve all been under enormous psychological pressure lately. There are unconfirmed rumors that this unindentified passenger is a Republican who found herself unable to cope with the realization that Mitt Romney will be her party’s presidential nominee.

Post-Primary Traumatic Stress Disorder strikes again . . .

As a general rule, women don’t pay the same penalty as men for their crimes.

Imagine a man doing this and then think what would happen to him?

This happens all the time. Man gets time; woman gets probation.

    Happens. Constantly.

Don’t go bringing up those heinous Mom kills kids murderers, that’s a different kettle of fish.

Even there, they get off with lesser sentences.

As with all generalizations, examples exist of them not being true. I’m saying for the most part, you can bet what will happen.

Yes, you’re correct in this. Historically women and men are held to different standards. There’s never been true equality of opportunity, or outcome between the sexes. When it comes to children the mother usually gets custody. When it comes to war, men usually die on the battlefield. When it comes to crime, men get harsher sentences. However, when it comes to wages, usually men get higher pay. I think some of this should be looked at and considered, but I’m not sure it’s changeable. It’s just always been this way.

Men also tend to work in the most hazardous jobs, for longer hours, and don’t take time off to have kids….

Men today only get higher pay if they work in the Obama Administration.

Comparing apples to apples, men no longer earn higher salaries/wages. That’s one of the problems with “feminism”: feminists demand “equality” (of outcomes) except when equality-of-outcomes doesn’t suit their agendas.

If you control for women taking time off for childbirth, women actually earn slightly more than men.  Women are also a majority of college graduates.

    A natural blonde, you say?

    So… not Ann Romney, then.

Congrats on setting a new standard for conventional thinking.

Look at the bright side here; if everyone strip naked at the airport, TSA wouldn’t have any excuses for invasive body searches with gloved finger or probing radiation.  We could cut back on the number of those clowns sucking off the government teat considerably.  This would be a win-win.

Aside from having to endure the occasional Ted Kennedy style horror show, that is.

It would also have the salutary effect of reducing air traffic.

I agree, and, I must say, I’m surprised at JeffS because he is usually such a cunning linguist.

Well then, obviously, she’s a conservative.

Mmmmmm,  then it would be all about the cavity search.  And wondering whether that glove has been washed.
