Narrative Trial Balloon: Obama Reelection #Fail Due To Homophobic Americans

The kettle of vultures circles the Obama administration, desperate to avoid talking about jobs, the economy, ObamaCare, or a raft of other historic firsts due it.

How does the Administration recover from the nose dive? They’re getting wrecked on every front.  Bluegrass Pundit relates a CBS poll indicating that, inter alia, BHO takes a 9% hit on voters over coming out of the closet on gay marriage. The strategy of blaming and shaming “Vote Barack, or you’re raaaaacist!” seems unlikely to succeed this time around.

  • Do they come up with another candidate in time for the DNC in Charlotte? “Vote Hillary, or you’re sexist!”
  • Do they just curl up in a fetal position after getting wrecked in Wisconsin next month, and take a hammering that makes 2010 look like a love tap?
  • Or, do they come up with some heroic line of hooey: “Barack is getting politically crucified for doing the right thing, and has decided to repair to the moral high ground rather than condescend to the level of American knuckle-draggers any longer.”

My overall point being that the Democrats don’t handle truth well. In fact, they are like Frenchmen with a thick layer of disinformatzia caked on.

Case in point, via The Lonely Conservative:

more recently, again from Bluegrass Pundit:
In defense of the Obama Administration, at least they made sure George Zimmerman was charged quickly.

Update: Erickson over at Red State is working on the obituary right now. Let us be mindful of overconfidence.

I mentioned on Twitter the day Obama came out for gay marriage that I suspect his big subconscious reason for choosing to do so is because he sees his defeat coming, and he’s going to need some bitter clingers to blame for it. I lost a few followers for that. Who knew the mommy blogger community was so uptight about this stuff? ‘S true, though. Everything the man says or does is calculated to cover his own butt and protect his own fragile ego if something goes wrong.

I wonder how much worse it would have been for Obama if he had stayed with his original plan to time his support for gay marriage to coincide with the Democrat convention.  It would have been fun to watch a post-convention nose dive.

A fun Twitter hashtag might be #WhatShouldObamaDoNext but on the other hand, why discourage him?

Yes homophobic americans…and the economy going back into recession, clearly more homophobia.

He is desperately seeking a scape-goat. Bush won’t work this time and Barry just cannot accept blame for anything. A pure Marxist in that regard, no responsibility for anything, the fault lies with someone or something else, no matter how convoluted the reasoning. Typical of an idiot whose emotional maturity is stuck at a five-years old level. I think TWYB is more developed in that regard.

The tell is the poll numbers.  When pollsters like AP and Gallup have to stack the deck by oversampling democrat voters (nearly 50% of the sample in some cases), then they clearly know the outcome they’re offering is tainted.  But offer it they must.  Because they simply cannot and will not acknowledge the fact that Obama hasn’t a chance.   They’re hiding the decline while trying to convince themselves and everyone else that it really won’t be a bloodbath this fall…

I have a hard time sharing their pessimism, because I know how hard the dems work to fix elections.  They’ll just have to manufacture more ballots this year than they normally do.  Easy-peasy…

Like John McCain before him, Romney will just be noble and accept defeat, even when it’s widely reported that Houston’s dead residents out-voted the living ones, illegals voted for Obama in record numbers in Florida, or more than the entire population over 18 years of age voted in every county in America…

John McCain didn’t have much choice, he was roundly and soundly beat down. If Obama does pull it out that time, it will be by a squeaker, and you can bet both the Romney campaign and the RNC won’t just take it for granted that the vote isn’t tainted. If there is evidence of vote fraud there’ll be hell to pay.

McCain was neck and neck in the polls after the convention and the Palin pick, he never once trailed by more than the Margin of Error in a poll – UNTIL he made a huge blunder in “suspending” his campaign to rush back to DC to deal with the financial crisis.  He looked desperate.

Obama, who didn’t give a rat’s patootie, kept his cool and promised to go back to DC to vote if needed, a big concession from a guy who only made about a quarter of the votes his last two years in the Senate.

Greece and the EU are preparing for the country to leave the Euro.  Spain’s last bond auction brought an unsustainable interest yield and a frighteningly wide spread.  Italy’s banks have been downgraded as the country slips into recession.  The Czech Republic, Hungary, and Romania are already in a recession.

Obama needs to keep attention off the economy and his record.  The votes he loses on gay marriage are those he was unlikely to win anyway.  He hopes to ramp up enthusiasm among the gullible young and the wealthy gays, it’s his only chance.

Well, he could radically change his policies, but he’d have to admit they were wrongheaded and destructive – he would rather lose than do that.

TARP and the mis-handling of Sarah were what did in McCain. Those and his virtual surrender, starting with the public dumping of Michigan. It was more important to Angry John to be a good and honorable loser than a hard-nosed winner. It’s all a piece with his disdain for waterboarding.

John McCain is a pretentious old senile fool, and that “suspending” his campaign was just another grandstanding stunt of the kind that people are sick to death of. All this good natured bipartisan love for his colleagues across the aisle, and his obvious distaste for people in his own party who took firm principled stands against them went down like cat shit in chocolate ice cream. He just never got it. He wasn’t a RINO so much as a dinosaur who should be seen only in a museum.
