Sunday Morning Meditation

For those who’ve enjoyed my bits of doggerel, I was checking to see if you can do SVG in WordPress:
And the answer is ‘Sure, as long as you do not mind an Internal Server Error in lieu of what you really wanted.’
Here is the poem layed out less experimentally:

Cross

The vertical line of God
Interacts with time we see
Along the line of our lives.

Hard to discern, you’ll agree
As through the Valley we’ve trod
Dodging the evil one’s knives.

Could we our futures foresee
As each of us forward strives
The same path should we have trod?

And who among us conceives
If our will truly be free
A brutal trip to the sod?

No, we would rather have wives
Kids by a dozen shoes shod
Bouncing them all on the knee.

Swimming among the world’s cod
World to make meaning contrives
To locate the core of ‘be’.

The ones who hunger stand awed
Realizing they’ve no plea:
God _only_ real meaning gives.

    I See

I see your ‘partial enlightenment’ my Smitty,
this is how it happened for me:
One perfect night — my heart chakra opening
in a million crescendos of Love,
    an orgasmic Bliss,
    I Wept for Hours,
    through the longest Dark Night,
years of Open-Heart Meditation when I
spoke my Truth and Listened to
    Another’s Truth of Being
     even
if it hurt me and the Words cut me, Bleeding
magnificent shades of verdant green and this
    is the Way Love
opens my eye,  and I see everything
as One Truth, the Wheels are
    spinning in Indigo blue mornings
and Perfect Silence in Gassho to
    God pours Benediction of “This
is Enough”, this one small Anamika-Life
my Sacrifice, Now I Am this
    Perfect Chanel
    to God
    there is no Two
    in
    One

Bombshell: The Real Reason Barack Obama And Michele Lost Their Law License

    http://www.federaljack.com/?p=175705

    1. President Barack Obama, former editor of the Harvard Law Review, is no longer a “lawyer”. He surrendered his license back in 2008 in order to escape charges he lied on his bar application. A “Voluntary Surrender” is not something where you decide “Gee, a license is not really something I need anymore, is it?” and forget to renew your license. No, a “Voluntary Surrender” is something you do when you’ve been accused of something, and you ‘voluntarily surrender” your license five seconds before the state suspends you.
2 Michelle Obama “voluntarily surrendered” her law license in 1993. after a Federal Judge gave her the choice between surrendering her license or standing trial for Insurance fraud!

As far as I can tell, the Eastern approach is to pursue the elimination of the self to achieve Nirvana.
From a Christian gardening perspective, this seems like cutting off all the blooms from the rose to get to that Zen garden, as opposed to proper trimming to achieve the fullness of the rose (John 15:1-2).
This is why I think that Communism and Eastern thought seem somewhat “complementary”, as neither seems to appreciate the individual.

Well … that’s a common western understanding/interpretation of eastern thought. And that’s all it is.
