VP Petraeus?

Stacy will love this post. What can you pile better on speculation than. . .more speculation? The General Petraeus boomlet, therefore, is a counter to the VP Biden departure rumor.

Reasoning: without Biden around, the vast foreign policy void, (actually a gap spanning perhaps a couple of millimeters) can only be filled by. . .drumroll. . .Hillary.

At that point, the Ignore The Last Three Years Of Domestic Policy Express swings into full gear, replete with tales of the masterful Arab Spring Job done by #OccupyResoluteDesk, and a few thousand more Zero Dark Thirty victory laps.

Petraeus, then answers the foreign policy mail for the Romney ticket. The good General’s chief challenge is finding a diplomatic way to tell the Wicked Witch of Whitewater that she’s melting.

And now, back to Stacy.

Complaining about VP speculation is like pissing into the wind:  it can’t possibly do you any good, and you’re liable to end up all wet.

It’s been an intrinsic part of presidential politics since the television age began, and invariably includes a couple of big names who, we will eventually find out, were never even considered.

Petraeus lost me when he sided AGAINST the Constitutionally protected Freedom of Speech of private citizens  in favor of sharia compliance.

If Petraeus is game, Romney would be a fool to pass him over for someone like Portman or Pawlenty.

A 4 star general on the ticket, and you’ve got Virginia in the bag, not to mention all sorts of independent voters that also respect our military.

And how exactly does Obama attack Petraeus when he made him head of the CIA?

DaTechGuy predicts it will be T-Paw.  I predict RSM throws up if that is the case.  Jim “Tattoo” Geraghty says if you want early notice on Romney’s pick, track “Da Plane, Da Plane…”

I returned a CG’s coin that GEN Patraeus gave me while he was CG at Ft. Leavenworth because he violated his oath with his comments.  I didn’t want it anymore because it was his coin.  I am anti-Obama but will never vote for a ticket with GEN Patraeus on it.

Tim “Sharia banking” Pawlenty? No thanks.
I really wish people would stop pushing the idea that an islamoblow for VP is a wise choice, especially when it comes to Chris “Friend of islamic supremacists everywhere” Christie (he’s the worst of the bunch).

If our side wasn’t infested with gutless dhimmie cowards, they’d get behind the idea that Allen West should be our VP, he is so awesome on so many levels, and handsome too, you can’t go wrong when you go WEST!

You’re right, and it might be great for Romney’s campaign but Petraeus is a long time member of the Council on Foreign Relations, the globalist group who’s tune Hillary marches to as well.  So we’re damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t.

DING, DING, DING…..Folks, we have a winner!  And while I know Romney would not pick Allen West, mostly because he is the ONLY one calling out both the islamic and communist threats this nation faces……is just warms my heart to watch the libs wetting their Nike’s in fear that West should gain any more traction.

Petraeus is to the Romney 2012 ticket what Jon Huntsman was to the GOP nominating process for president.

The Obamarrhoids are just too stupid and too lost to realize that anything they tout for the Republicans will be, as it ought to be, laughed away like a Joe Biden pole dance.

Madame Secretary HAS set a record in the number of bilateral meetings she’s attended.

She’s also set a record in the number of people in those meetings who intended to carry through: exactly 1 – herself.

Interestingly, a bit of synchronicity: Poland (and likely other former Warsaw Pact former US of A allies) will build its own missile defense shield (aka “Star Wars”). Obama’s Sequestration + Obama’s Cuts to DoD = 1,000,000 American Defense workers (many with experience in Star Wars) available for work in Poland.

Truly, a triumph of the marriage of Foreign and Defense policies.

As for Petraeus – he’s competent as a manager, he’s brilliant as a strategic thinker, he’s got genuine bona fides in foreign and defense policy and is known by everyone who’s anyone in the GWOT world. As head of the CIA, well – so far the CIA hasn’t either allowed another attack to occur, or stabbed politicians in the back – both characteristics were standard fare under Bush-43 and the early days of Obama.

CIA still isn’t half as competent as Glenn Beck’s staff, but at least the CIA isn’t destroying the US of A anymore.

Could be that the CIA isn’t destroying the U.S. now  not because Patraeus is head of the CIA but because Panetta no longer is.  I’d look for the destruction to come from the Defense Dept. now.
