I Earned Peanuts For Pulling An 18-Hour Day On Tuesday

Now, maybe I just have more skin in the game:

. . .but I feel a driving need to explain to the World’s Youngest Blogger that I actively sought to keep the Republic. Sure, I could have done more, even running for office.
The notion that people aren’t stepping up to the plate and making sure that there are enough observers is a real disappointment. Sins of omission are not helping anything. Do what you can.

I did, too. I was told that Republicans were short 1000 election officers in Fairfax County.

I heard it was a disaster. It supposedly also got hacked by Lefties.

You are going to make me cry Smitty.

Although for what it is worth, we probably did not lose because of voter fraud (not in every state and every race we lost, that is simply not possible). We lost due to ignorant people who are manipulated by the MSM and the Democrats.

Democrats and voter fraud, who would have guessed? (/sarcasm)

A couple of weeks ago I filled out a form on the Romney website asking for volunteers. I never got a call from anybody.

In 2008, I got a call the morning of the election asking if I could drive some people to the polls.

    Nothing this year at all.

No need to assume malice where incompetence is so obvious.

As someone who has been in IT since the late ’80’s, let me assure everyone that this smells like near-pure IT arrogance.

Evi, I think you also have to factor in the fact that we have had several generations – starting with the one right after the so-called ‘Greatest’ – that have known unprecedented luxuries and have been nurtured in an environment surrounded by provided government services at all levels. So many tens of millions of Americans don’t know any other way of life and, most importantly, don’t care to know.

The fault, Dear Brutus, is not in the stars
    But in ourselves…

I used to get “dinged” on my annual review because my “bug percentage” was too low.

It meant I took too much time to ship the code. Nevermind that I saved the company thousands of dollars by not having the software generate further bug fix requests. When I fixed it, it stayed fixed.

So sadly, I know exactly how that works.
