Carefully Worded Thanks

It is Robert Jensen’s good fortune to be blatantly, thoroughly, categorically wrong, lest somebody go all self-fulfilling prophecy on him, and drag the stinking carcass of his bogus ideas in the direction of reality:
Forget all that turkey, stuffing and pumpkin pie, today should be a day of fasting and atonement for American “sin.” That’s according to Robert Jensen, a journalism professor at the University of Texas at Austin. Jensen, known for his hard-left politics, also calls Thanksgiving a “white-supremacist holiday.”
Jensen’s opinion piece “No Thanks for Thanksgiving,” appeared on the far-left, Soros-connected website Alternet on Thanksgiving eve. In it, he wrote how Native Americans suffered because of the “European invasion of the Americas.” He went on to compare the Founding Fathers to Nazi Germany. “How does a country deal with the fact that some of its most revered historical figures had certain moral values and political views virtually identical to Nazis?” he asked.
The First Amendment is a beautiful, two way street, and I hope the rest of the country joins me in a finely crafted blend of thankfulness to the Founders, along with forgiveness and laughter directed at Jensen for acting like such a pathetic little crapflooder.
Jensen, a mind is a terrible thing to waste in the manner you seem to choose. Repent, and strive to be less a knucklehead in the future, and we’ll all thank you for it.

I am guessing Robert Jensen is not Native American. Here is his home page.
I can understand if you are Native American being upset on how history turned out. But viewing everything through the prism of racism is not true or helpful and is frankly academically lazy. Guys like Jensen and Ward Churchill are these angry fringe characters. That we subsidize such insanity under the guise of academic tenure is amazing.

If it were up to me, every far-left professor in every American college and university would be thrown out on his ass. Academia has become an island of subversion and tyranny in our midst, and frankly, I’m sick of it. Further, I’d end the system wherein professors can’t be fired after their trial period. Kick them out!!

Looks like the Californification of Texas is well underway.

Amazing how Jensen crams so much racism in so little space.
Only a a Democrat cares about skin color.

Sadly, Stogie, I don’t think that is enough, as these Nihilists will still be around to cause trouble in other areas of American Society. Effecting a separation between us and them is the only way to get rid of these unAmericans.

Let’s drop him on his head then!

My ex-wife found out how asinine liberal college professors can be back in grad school when she sent out a ‘happy thanksgiving’ one year and her professor sent out a reply about how he can’t be associated with that sentiment.

So I hope she told him to get stuffed instead of offering him stuffing…

Well, that didn’t take long. I’ve been blocked from viewing the comments on Alternet.

As in 1860, the only solution is secession.

Too late. I think someone has already done that. Probably as a baby. Poor guy. Not right in the head. Left, but not right.

I am thoroughly convinced that most of them (especially in the disciplines where the hard core lefties live) have no marketable job skills in the private sector and would most likely starve (metaphorically). Maybe he could get a job at Newsweek….Oh, wait….

Austin??? Ahh yes, the Texas chapter of Bizerkley on the Bay.
Don’t look now Austin but you’re surrounded.
Texas has Asstin, NC has Assville, GA has Asslanta, so little time, so many asses to kick.
