Everyone carps about lawyers until they need one. Without a damned good lawyer, Oliver North might still be in prison …

And who put him there in the first place? Lawyers!

There are plenty of bad lawyers and that video is funny. But if a bad doctor destroys your life, good luck getting any resolution without a lawyer. The truth is in most states it is very difficult to sue a doctor successfully (there are a few states where things are different). Our country was founded, from the get, as one of the most litigious evah (Colonial America was always way more litigious than back in the old country) Of course, that was mostly over property issues, personal disputes were settled with pistols.

    Ah, the good old days.

What are the inputs driving the demand for lawyers? If we enjoy liberty, then why so many of them?

Seems to me those inputs come mostly from… lawyers.

Lawyers are like nuclear weapons. You almost never really need one unless someone is threatening you with one, and when they get used, the devastation lasts for generations.

And sooner or later, one always falls into the wrong hands.

Really, though, God had to create two lawyers.
