A Maryland Criminal Arrest Warrant Was Issued Today for Bill Schmalfeldt

From District Court of Carroll County, John Hoge reports.

It’s all fun and games until somebody goes to jail.

After John Hoge asked the Court to enforce its peace order against deranged cyberstalker Bill Schmalfeldt, the latter decided he had not yet shown sufficient contempt of court, as Hoge explains:

He began tweeting to me within an hour-and-a-half of the judge’s ruling on the 16th, and he’s kept it up. . . .
So how has the Cabin Boy responded? He’s begun tweeting to me at an even greater rate.

Potential penalties are mounting, and why? Most likely because Schmalfeldt believes no judge would actually order him arrested.

It would appear Schmalfeldt has miscalculated.

UPDATE II: Y’know, it seems a mighty hard thing to arrest a guy for Twitter messages, and I feel sorry for Bill Schmalfeldt.

Or, at least, I did feel sorry for him, and then I remembered Lee Stranahan: “Bill Schmalfeldt: The Stranger Who Harassed My Family.”

Here’s where I just can’t have any sympathy: the court probably didn’t want to have to go through with arresting a disabled guy, but the dumb shit just couldn’t stop pulling this crap. He basically dared the court to go after him, and he’s probably shocked to realize that provoking the law tends to end badly.

We started trying to name everyone he stalked and harassed the other night. When it came down to it, the list just kept growing and growing.

Maybe we actually need to sit down and document this. I mean, list out every person he bothered, harassed and stalked. And document the event associated with each individual.

Judges typically hate to get involved in personal disputes. But they hate having their orders disobeyed even more. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Bill spend a night in jail and only be released upon his personal sworn promise to the judge not to do it again.

Somehow, I don’t think he can keep the promise, though. Like a moth to a flame, he can’t let go. And that second violation is the one that will really tick the judge off.

It should be easy to find him. Just roll Maryland in flour and look for the wet spot.

Probably a gravity flux sensor would work better. I’m pretty sure he disturbs the gravity waves around Earth or something.

Or maybe a herpes tester. He looks like a giant Space Herpes. Does he even get out of his house? Then even the cops will be able to find him. Plus I’m sure Bill has Donuts.

Can we get to see him get a perp walk? Or in his case perp lurch? Don’t forget to bring extra cuffs.

This is a great idea, and remember to include wives, children and employers. Why? Because this guy is going to leverage his age and Parkinson’s for all they’re worth. Because he’s claimed that he can be very charming, and judging by the passes he’s received from the state’s attorney, I believe him. When Hoge goes to court he’s going to have to show what Schmalfeldt’s behavior deteriorates into if left unchecked. Having him read, in open court, threats to have people’s kids taken away would be interesting, indeed.

Not only the ACLU: back when folks called “Reporters” would report on topics of interest to the entire public, a series of reports on the truly inhumane conditions of the mentally ill were broadcast in primetime. Overcrwding and understaffing equated to lives lost to starvation, dehydration, medical neglect, and worst: putting in the criminally insane, including pedophiles in with mentally handicapped people and children who could not defend themselves from predation. De-institutionalization was society’s response to the failure of oversight and accountability and the blatant corruption of mental insitution owners and politicos seeking re-election funds. In the end, IMO, each town/citythat hosted one of these nightmares was responsible for making life such a hell, that letting the incapable wander the streets was better.

IF BS goes to jail, and after seeing the jail psychiatrist, is put on meds that bring him back in contact with normality, THen would be a great time to interview him about BK, NR and Team Kimberlin. Just a thought.Most folks with proper treatment become a treasure trove of information on their crimes, criminal networks, and educate on what to look for and where.
