A Bad Christmas for Neal Rauhauser

Posted on | December 26, 2013 | 47 Comments

Regular readers of this blog need no introduction to Neal Rauhauser, the disgraced former Democrat campaign consultant and associate of bomber/porogressive activist Brett Kimberlin. A few months ago, Rauhauser stalked my Army son’s Facebook page.

The latest weird turn in Rauhauser’s weird career is that his ex-wife evidently showed up on Twitter, complaining that Neal still owes some $47,000 in child support for the two children — now ages 17 and 13 — of their marriage, which ended a decade ago. Now, this caveat is necessary: I cannot verify that the Twitter account is his ex-wife’s nor, if it is indeed her, can I vouch for the accuracy of all she alleges. However . . .

A diarist at Daily Kos put up a post last Saturday which, with the necessary caveats, is certainly worth excerpting at length here:

During the years that Neal Rauhauser has been involved in internet intrigue while neglecting to pay child support, his ex-wife Nancy went through ovarian and breast cancer . . . Nancy holds no illusions about getting money out of Neal but she’s making the effort because her son and daughter asked and she wants them to go to college. For Nancy, “it’s all about the kids.”
Unfortunately Nancy lives in Nebraska and in order to get the state involved in collecting child-support across state lines she needs to give them a verifiable address for Neal. That’s no easy task. Neal tells no one where he lives, not even his mother, he has no driver’s license and he travels by train and bus. The man leaves no paper trail. So Nancy joined Twitter (where Neal hangs out) in early December as part of her quest for her children and that’s why the need for a restraining order and private security. . . .

Yeah. According to this DKos diarist, when his ex-wife joined Twitter, Rauhauser began harassing her:

Nancy has documents showing her ex-husband was clinically diagnosed with Narcissistic Personality Disorder overlaid with Reactive Affective Disorder. Neal Rauhauser is a certified Sociopath.
So in the two weeks she’s been on Twitter, Neal has begun harassing Nancy, her children and her relatives with phone calls and text messages. He also did what he calls a SWAT lite and called Child Protective Services on his ex-wife. Other strange things have been happening recently too: someone attempted to hack Nancy’s eBay account, someone attempted to use her daughter’s social security number and someone accessed her son’s school records and found out where they live.
This is why security and a restraining order are needed . . . And why a lawyer is wanted by the Rauhauser children.

To repeat: I have not verified this information. However, the “SWAT lite” — reporting his ex-wife to Child Protective Services — certainly sounds like Neal Rauhauser’s usual tricks.

There is nothing that Neal Rauhauser hates more than when people tell the truth about Neal Rauhauser. We’ll see what happens.

“Politically he has been Right, Left, GOP, Libertarian and Democrat, whichever will get him what he wants or to where he wants to go.”

Do you know if that’s true?

I’ve always thought that Rauhauser’s interest in politics was opportunistic and selfish.

Reminds of my favorite scene in Clueless, when Cher (Alicia Silverstone) is being picked up at her home by Christian. Her father says, If anything happens to my daughter, I’ve got a .45 and a shovel. I doubt anybody would miss you

I doubt that anyone would miss this guy, either.

I don’t think that’s true, his post-dKos stuff has been all left. It wouldn’t surprise me he was a commenter at LGF, so the diarist could claim Right/GOP/Libertarian for the ignorant.

Well, there’s plenty of ignorance to exploit at the Daily Kos. I’m just wondering if he was more of a chameleon before the Internet.

I think he’s been left because that is where he can get money without people asking too many questions. Spout the right talking points and get cash, just like his bomber buddy.

If what the diarist says is true, then Neal Rauhauser seems intent on occupying a prison cell sometime in the near future.

One of the truisms about Liberals is they are more than happy to give you the shirt off MY back. When Liberals are called upon to do with their own money… well, let’s just say they are always found lacking.

One of the biggest mistakes of the American legal system (I refuse to call it a justice system any longer) was ceasing to recognize when someone was begging for a sound beating. 100 years ago we recognized this, and had a much more polite, orderly society. For a limited set of circumstances, not only would the local judge look the other way, he might even send in the police to help.

    Child predators, anyone?

I daresay if we allow men to be men again, they would stop being pussies and start policing society the way they used to. Then bums like this man-child would learn their “rights”, lefts and a few upper-cuts every time they missed a child support payment. Just call it ‘refocusing attention’.

I’m sick of Twitter and their biases. I’m sick of watching everyone get suspended but Neal Rauhauser. I’m sick of it all. It’s illegal what they’re doing.

Fight back and give Twitter the lousiest review possible. They’re now corporate. This will leave a mark, trust me. That entire cesspool should be wiped from the internet. They lie and cover for this creep every chance they get. File a complaint review and then sue them! They’re responsible for all this.

While certainly many share your nostalgia for tradition, it is generally a bad idea to advocate violence in this fashion.

On the other hand, it’s Neal Rauhauser we’re talking about, and the overwhelming urge to hope bad things happen to him is understandable.

No good person likes Neal Rauhauser, and even most bad people only put up with him because of his proven capacity for evil.

No, he’s a far-left partisan. Nothing he’s done shows otherwise.

I see all these blogs on this guy, but I don’t see anyone trying to do anything about it. Twitter has gone corporate now. File with D&B and send a loud and clear message. What is everyone afraid of? He’s a jerk and so is Twitter.

And I’m sorry, Stacy, but this article isn’t telling half of what that asshole is up to right now. You’re aware of what’s going on with Stack and the others in NJ. It’s not even mentioned.

There are a number of people who want to see Rauhauser in jail. More, it’s a bipartisan effort. There are warrants out for his arrest. However, Neal Rauhauser lives a nomadic lifestyle so is very difficult to catch. It’s also kind of pathetic, sleeping on other people’s couches to avoid paying child support. Let’s face it, he’s a well dressed hobo that’s overly active on Twitter. And I’m not so sure about the well dressed part.

I don’t know. Same claims have been recirculated on Twitter, though. I was looking up RAD bc of this post, and came across a cached twitter stream (user ZileTrezzo) about Neal that says the same things about the recent squirrely activity (SS#, school records and so forth) the ex has had to endure. So I went to Research.ly to look at the archived twitter stream to see more and more of the back and forth.

I was intrigued by mention of Lee Stranahan recognizing NR’s voice on a call in show and NR then disquising his voice and beating a hasty retreat off the air.

You’d think, wouldn’t you? But he’s been behaving this same way for years, and is still wandering the highways and byways of America, causing trouble wherever he appears. It’s enough to make you wonder, really, what it takes to restrain him, or make law enforcement take his actions seriously.

I found the comment thread at Kos interesting – anything to avoid dealing with Rauhauser.

To be absolutely fair, that may just be because they’re tired of his dramas. Though my impression was that they simply do not care, and want his association with the site buried and forgotten. Merely an impression, of course.

Hi Sara, the call in show was Vince In The Bay. Neal also admitted on that show that he used to be GOP & Libertarian. His political party is immaterial, he was a sociopath long before he could vote.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder overlaid with Reactive Attachment Disorder means he isn’t capable of normal relationships. He has no empathy and no loyalty to anyone and certainly not to any political party. He would rather do away with both left and right and crown himself king. He is motivated by what is best for Neal.

Rauhauser doesn’t really seem “useful”, though. It’s like watching a victim of St. Vitus’ Dance; frenetic activity, frequently destructive, but turning in smaller and smaller circles as time goes on. It’s ugly and bizarre, but useful?

How is he supporting himself? That’s the key to locating him.

His only known skill is creating fake accounts on the computer. If his claims to be hooked in with the hacker community were partly true, he might be crashing on couches or paying cash at hotels, using a phony credit card and a fake name to hold reservations. But he’s getting money from somewhere.

    Identity theft? Credit card fraud?

Neal’s just not the sort of person who would inspire people to voluntarily support him.

Who was advocating violence? I was merely pointing out in another time and place no man would dare neglect his family obligations… because there were other men. If your father-in-law’s clan didn’t stomp the crap out of you, other men would. Talk to beat cops from the 50’s and 60’s, if you can still find any. They will tell you there was no such thing as “spousal neglect” or “domestic violence” on their beats. If they discovered it, they would pull the deadbeat into an alley and kick the crap out of him with the admonition if he didn’t shape up, they would be back and be far less gentle the second time.

That is, until the scum of the earth (lawyers) invented “police brutality”.

Neal “No Nuts” Rauhauser can neglect his family only to the degree Liberalism has made pussies out of men in our society. Were this not so, I daresay there would be a line miles long waiting to take him behind the woodshed. Pointing this out is not advocating anything, it is merely reminding everyone what we have let be stolen from us while we stood idly by like sheep instead of lions.
