Transgender Feminist @papierhache Volunteers for Twitter Victimhood

When the going gets weird, my Twitter timeline gets interesting. It is perhaps unnecessary to remind readers of these recent items:
- Jan. 4: Feminists Accused of ‘Transphobia’: Competitive Victimhood Derby
- Jan. 4: Everybody Hates Cathy Brennan: Troll Under the Bridge on the Crazyville Road
- Jan. 14: The Rocky Horror Dating Game: Translesbians Encounter Queer Hate
To summarize briefly, radical lesbian feminists reject the claims of “trans women” to inclusion, and this rejection is denounced by “trans women” as hate. This bizarre controversy is occurring on the extreme fringe of the culture wars, which doesn’t mean that the conflict isn’t taken seriously by the participants. At a radical progressive conference last May in Portland, Oregon, transgender activists attacked two women “in a coordinated assault as they sat at a table which sold feminist books and literature.” Obviously, I have no (heteronormative patriarchal) dog in this fight, but as the first conservative to pay much attention to this intramural left-wing scrimmage, I felt it might be helpful to translate terms into the vernacular:
Love is the New Hate: Lesbians who won't date shemales are transphobic http://t.co/5puTm9i73c #lgbt #tcot #fem2
— Robert Stacy McCain (@rsmccain) January 14, 2014
You’ll notice here that I used the colloquial synonym “shemale” because the word “transphobic” was already in the headline, and the vivid slang term is also an eye-catcher. It’s click-bait. The object of a headline is to get the reader’s attention, which is why the New York Post often uses words “thug” or “perv” in headlines of stories about perpetrators of violence or sexual deviance. At any rate, a certain troll decided that I should be exposed as a hatemonger:
The person who got trolled up then decided to hector me at some length, as if I’ve got nothing else to worry about except being sensitive to the feelings of the transgender community.
OK, if East Tennessee’s Most Famous Transgender Feminist™ wants widespread attention, how about this fascinating “When Did You Know You Were Trans” video, huh?
I knew when I would play with the other girls, when I had a desire to be like them, a feeling that I should be like them, a feeling that I should not be like this — and them telling me that that feeling was wrong.
I knew that night they made fun of me in the parking lot of the mall when we were walking back to the car. They made fun of me for being “effeminate”. I knew when they used to punish me for crying and call me a pussy and tell me to “man up”. . . .
I knew when I would go to school only to be called a “faggot” by the boys they forced me to be around when, try as I might, I couldn’t fit in with them or feel comfortable around them. I knew when those boys told me to cut my hair and tried to hit me and called me a girl like it was an insult. The boys that they said were like me, that they wanted me to be like, the boys that I didn’t want to be.
I knew when they would toss around transphobic slurs like it was nothing. I knew when they called them “shemales” and “trannies” and “it” and no one batted an eye — but I did. . . .
I knew when my dysphoria got worse and despite all that I wasn’t sure that what I was feeling was legitimate because I didn’t want to be a 1950?s housewife, that I didn’t know if my sexual attraction to men was legitimate because I didn’t want to have sex with anyone as a man and I had never been with a man, that maybe I was just an “autogynephile” because the thought of having sex as a woman (god forbid!) turned me on. . . .
You can read the whole weird thing, and sympathize or not, but the point is that you have a right to think what you want, no matter how much the Eternally Victimized insist they are entitled to your sympathy.
You can never pity the Eternally Victimized as much as they pity themselves, but failing to RSVP an invitation to their pity party? That’s hate! How dare you withhold your approval!
As to the controversy between radical feminists and “trans women,” permit me to predict that the radical feminists will ultimately lose that battle, which is not to say they should lose. The experience and goals of radical feminists — i.e., man-hating Marxist lesbians — are different from and essentially at odds with the experience and goals of transgenders. On the one hand, radical feminists deserve credit for being honest about what they want and why they want it, but on the other hand, @papierhache is ultimately less dangerous, if only because the whole ridiculous Helpless Tranny Victim trip is so pathetic.
Inadequacy doesn’t really rate as a militant cause.
@Todd__Kincannon If I decide to blog about that weird encounter, expect the troll to claim victimhood. #EasyPredictions

So if Kat’s from Johnson City, does that mean she has a Johnson, or did she take the bypass they call the “Johnson Cut-off”?
January 16th, 2014 @ 12:28 am
The only one making Kat look ridiculous is Kat.
January 16th, 2014 @ 12:35 am
I agree, Stogie. Kat seems to have enough to deal with it without others making matters worse.
It was Kat that contacted Stacy, though, and not vice versa. And Stacy isn’t the sort to be attacked out of the blue for his writing without responding.
We should all probably be praying for Kat.
January 16th, 2014 @ 12:37 am
Though we should spare no effort in supporting him/her/hir/shim in this endeavor!

Not as long as you keep your membership in the He-Man Woman Hater’s Club.

They need to just go the full, Roswell Alien look and say goodbye to gender forever.
January 16th, 2014 @ 3:20 am
This internecine melodrama over sexual identity has totally crippled a number of otherwise healthy people.
Wouldn’t it be funny if there were stories and videos of people born with actual handicaps going on to be successful?
Of course, that could never happen.

“the white dude pissed off”
What a judgmental tone!
How is being a “white dude” relevant to this discussion? Are white dudes automatically suspect because of some inherent inferiority?
Oh, and I had no idea that “shemale” was a slur. As a white dude, I guess that kind of ignorance is a function of my heteronormative patriarchal white privilege.
January 16th, 2014 @ 7:19 am
It’s more like LOOK just HOW different I am and you all MUST celebrate my weirdness no matter just how creepy
January 16th, 2014 @ 7:21 am
LOL aren’t you the little delicate teacup. He’s a hint don’t go into timeline of folks who are sane and expect then to celebrate your insanity
January 16th, 2014 @ 7:26 am
Performed by a sledgehammer … no matter what, a subset will always crap on Kat because of ‘white male privilege’ no matter what Kat transforms into. Change gender, dye your skin and hair, whatever. Outward appearance and behavior cannot change a white male into anything other than a white male. Surgery cannot and wishing cannot. You are what you were born, a white male. Acting as something else does not change your very essence, that of a white male. Believing otherwise is self-delusion.
January 16th, 2014 @ 7:33 am
Such crap. An outward manifestation of progressive self hate and self-delusion. I pity people like Kat who will never understand that what you are is not up to you, that you are as designed. You can no more change your sex than you can change your DNA or race. Such foolishness and waste. Do you really think that frontiersmen had ‘gender identification’ issues? Hell NO! This crap is a sign of an overly affluent and indolent society, bereft of a solid belief system and adequate education.
I denounce myself as a hater … of stupidity.
January 16th, 2014 @ 7:44 am
If I had to choose a side between militant feminists and transexuals, Ima side with the trannies because in general they are better looking and don’t have a hate-on for beauty at least. Feminazis make my eyes hurt.

There is a whole OTHER subset of “trans” that I look forward to seeing join the identity politics victimhood Olympics: the transSPECIED! They call themselves “otherkins” and do not self identify as HUMAN:
http://batshitcrazynews.com/2013/02/kitty-trapped-in-a-human-body-otherkin-catkin-and-also-bsfc/
I look forward to learning what prefix they’ll add to “phobia” with which to slander the unenthusiastic with.
January 16th, 2014 @ 9:19 am
Darn! And I had a really cool Club Hat design in mind…..
January 16th, 2014 @ 9:24 am
Yes, so long as you don not use words that Kat does not like she will leave you alone.
Otherwise, it is all your fault. And what seems aggressive is really just an effort to get you to mend your hateful, mean ways.
BTW did I mention that Kat does not approve of your tobacco consuming (or at least tobacco normative) ways?
Might want to fix that, lest you become mean and hateful over it.
January 16th, 2014 @ 9:37 am
I listened to the first seconds of the video, and to be honest, I’d have pegged the voice as a heavy smoker.
And a question, since I’m getting totally lost with all the terminology. Am I correct that a “transgender woman”, means someone born XY but who identifies themselves and acts as an XX, and a “transgender man” would be someone born XX who wants to be XY? And presumably in both cases are planning on having (if they haven’t already) “gender reassignment surgery”?
January 16th, 2014 @ 10:38 am
I won’t lose any sleep over it, and again your point seems to add little to this discussion.
January 16th, 2014 @ 10:40 am
That’s nice, but your opinion has no bearing on this discussion and is irrelevant.
January 16th, 2014 @ 11:15 am
That’s only common slang in pornography, buddy.
January 16th, 2014 @ 11:33 am
A classic trope of the Science Fiction scene was the venerable “robot wanting to be human” or “mutant wanting to be normal” thing.
Now we have a bunch of humans wanting to be anything but. Great!
(Good to know you’re still chuggin’ along, Zilla!)
January 16th, 2014 @ 11:53 am
Well,

and everywhere else. Like the Internet.January 16th, 2014 @ 12:49 pm
A ‘discussion’ is point, then counterpoint.
You offered your opinion, I countered with mine.
Dismissiveness also works both ways.
So, duly noted.
Edit: That you seem comfortable attempting to dictate the terms of any ‘discussion’ perhaps might explain why you think Kat has done nothing wrong.
January 16th, 2014 @ 12:55 pm
I hereby denounce myself.

I’m all for a free country – at least free enough to let your freak flag fly.
What is a downer is the dour soviet style thought police who aren’t really interested in freedom of dissent so much as enforcement of approved opinion.
Nothing free about that.

Heh. I always liked that skit, mainly because it showed the repressed sexuality of British society …
January 16th, 2014 @ 2:28 pm
McCain maybe you could smooth this over by helping Kat understand that ‘internet gadfly’ is not a singular office of the interwebs.
Room for plenty…
January 16th, 2014 @ 2:39 pm
Is that a guess, or an educated observation?

Heh. The assclowns in question (the subject of this post and his/her gang of enablers) have attacked my twitter TL for simply reblogging this post on my aggregation site Dead Citizen’s Rights Society. My attackers have been all butt-hurt and finally deleted their tweets to avoid showing themselves bested by a dying man. True progressives! So full of hate and invective, denying truth and science for their own petty delusions and fairy-tale victimhood.

Ayn Rand said “When force is the standard, the murderer wins over the pickpocket.” I guess when delusion is the standard, the guy who thinks he can become a women if he tries hard enough and pays for surgical alterations wins over the man hating lesbian who identifies shemales as men.

[…] Some very pathetic individuals (one of them, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center, a former member of a neo-confederate hate group) used some of these very same tactics against me recently, in efforts to intimidate me, to silence me, and to try to alter my self-perception and self-definition. They’re not the first, but just like the others, they tried to use the very same tired tactic of trying to define me by my assumed anatomy and the totality of my identity by my membership in a culturally defined, marginalized group. It didn’t work, and it didn’t work because I’m not my anatomy. I’m transgender, but that’s not all I am. I’m a strong, beautiful, smart, and capable woman who isn’t a “victim” at all, but rather, a survivor. I’ve had to overcome more in my 26 years than most will ever have to face in a lifetime, and no one can take that away from me. I’ve defined myself as a respected voice in the transgender community and in the feminist community, and I’ve done so in a short amount of time. […]
