Elections Matter, But They Don’t Really “Matter” Matter, Do They?

. . .or: “Roberts: your prone position in infamy is assured.”

So, conservatives: are we whipped? The only silver lining I can see is that Her Majesty can’t use SCOTUScare as a rallying cry leading up to her coronation. If the threat of a JEB nomination and a repeat of 1992 weren’t so dire, any of this might seem meaningful.

Increasingly, it seems like a Convention of States, or bust.

Look at the bright side. No matter what happens to this country, I can never, ever again feel sorry for it.

Yes. Convention of States, hopefully followed by secession.

But none of the states actually have the testicles to do it. The only hope would be TX, but they won’t either. Which is a shame for them, because they’d experience the largest influx of armed, conservative wage earners and job creators that the world has ever seen.

The commenters over at NYT are stunning. It’s basically, “Yeah, we’re headed for single-payer, and that’s what we wanted all along, so basically we lied to get our way, and that’s how you do things in this world.” And then they go on about the “paranoia” of the right when they warned of a government takeover.

So the right was “paranoid,” but then the commenters flat-out admit that the right was correct in their assumptions – even right down to the fact that the left was lying to get their way?

One of them said, “It’s ironic that we’re headed for single-payer when that’s what Obama really wanted.” Yeah. “Ironic.” Not “planned chaos to bring about change,” which is what I’d call it.

[…] Congress doesn’t seem to be making much headway on the “repeal and replace” front, and even if they do pass something you know Obama will whip out the old veto pen. Sure, there’s always 2016 and a chance to elect a president who will repeal this mess. Then again, the last Republican President gave us Chief Justice John Roberts, which isn’t working out so well. I’m beginning to wonder why I even bother voting. […]

The dissemblings of the children of Satan, I’d call it, but then, we knew there would come a time of judgment, when God would allow the heathens to choose their delusions.

I can’t say I’m surprised, just disgusted, which, I believe was Scalia’s position as well.

When a regulatory agency, the IRS, can ‘reinterpret’ a duly passed law to mean something other than what the law clearly states, and the the highest court a twists itself into a pretzel to confirm that reinterpretation, there is no law, there is only edicts. We are not citizens, we are serfs to the state. The constitution no longer applies. It. Is. Dead.

What is the point of a Convention of States?

Pass a bunch of new amendments to a Constitution that FedGov already ignores?

    Why bother, really?

Let’s face it. The constitution is dead. The last page went through the shredder today.

John Roberts is a traitor to the nation and the constitution and has betrayed his oath to protect and defend both.

And you can bet this is only the beginning of his statist tilt. Does he realize he has relegated his grandchildren to serfdom? Did he really do this so the WaPo will say nice things about him and maybe get a few invites to cocktail parties? Was that worth selling out his grandchildren?

    I want to retch.

I had a friend who, back in the ’90s, was thrilled and triumphant when Don’t Ask / Don’t Tell was implemented.

Years later (doing as he was told), he was angry about it because it was “un-Constitutional!”

I said, “But you were thrilled when it was passed.”

“Yeah, but it’s time for it to go.” (For “the next step,” obviously!)

I said, “So you think it’s OK to pass un-Constitutional laws in order to get what you want in a larger plan?”

“Oh… It sounds bad when you say it that way.”

America is bleeding out. It is suffering a slow death inflicted not by sword, bullet, or bomb, but by the shredding the Rule of Law. The Constitution of the United States suffered another grevious wound in today’s decsion(s) of the Supreme Court. One more ruling could and will probably be the killing stroke to our once beloved Republic.

I am truly weeping for America. May God have mercy on the narcissists and despots who are joyously dancing at America’s end.

The Northeast is welcome to go off and create its own liberal Utopia. One condition must be that they cannot come back and demand the rest of us pay for their unsustainable socialism, like Greece is trying to force the EU to do.

This ruling will join Dred Scott as ones at the top of the list that insult and destroy the rule of law. But unlike Dred Scott this one gets two entries, one for each times Roberts stood on his head.

That would be my position. For that matter, I’d gladly and graciously allow the leftists to choose half the country, and the normal people could take the other. And they could have first pick, mostly because the areas that they’d choose would be the ones we don’t want anyway.

Then we’d build up our own economy and border security. And when they trash their half and beg for our help, they can talk to the hand.

And, just for giggles, we can allow immigration, but only if they pass an English test, a logic test, and an American history test, thereby guaranteeing they never get in.

And also for giggles, we can send our Secretary of State over to threaten them with armed incursion if they don’t straighten out their human rights violations. Oh yeah, and also,we tell the UN to bugger off.

I need something to take my mind off our pending downhill slide into international law, gun confiscation, religious persecution, full-on censorship, the crash of the dollar, “redistribution” of everything we’ve worked for into the hands of the already wealthy, the loss of our jobs and homes, the rise of the Antichrist regime, the one world currency, WWIII, worldwide famine and food shortages, pestilence, massive earthquakes, and the carnage of God’s impending wrath across two-thirds of the earth.

I was JUST thinking about that this afternoon. That the entire world is upside down.

In fact, I was recollecting that back in 2001, when I was born again, how suddenly everything seemed reversed from the day before. Unlike, I suppose most people, I knew factually the rxact moment I was born again, because in that moment I had a waking vision. I won’t bore you with the details, but in a split second in time, my beliefs about a lot of things reversed 180° from the moment before.

Yeah, I used to think abortion was a choice, but in the blink of an eye, I knew it was wrong, and why. It was the same for a lot of things: homosexuality, heathen religions, fornication, white lies, and on and on. So in my case, the old me died, and in a nanosecond, a new, improved me was born.

I bring this up, because the weird, “where am I and what just happened” feeling I had during my instantaneous rebirth is very much like what I’m feeling now, except the first one was a good weird feeling, and this one is a bad, ominous feeling. A feeling of imminence…like, very close, on the very threshold imminence.

I wish I had a way to forward you a paper I wrote a few years ago; can’t remember when, and I don’t have it in front of me. Anyway, there are more astronomical signs than the blood moons. And I’ve since learned of others, but haven’t updated the paper. Mainly, because no one cared. I wrote it to share with people at my church, but no one cared. Do you the only people who cared? UNBELIEVERS that I showed it to, who are now questioning their former position. God’s mysterious ways, eh?

But if you want it, I can post a Dropbox link here for it. You’ll have to get yourself a free Dropbox account is the only thing. But then I can link other stuff for you to download in the future, too.

I really don’t see why we even need Congress anymore. Think of the money we could save if it was disbanded. The President and the DNC will decide what the law is on any given day; the SCOTUS will approve it, and that will be that. That’s pretty much where we are now anyway.
