Allegedly, I hasten to add. Regular Right Guy runs down the tabloid gossip that has been going around Hollywood the past year, most recently in a report at Radar Online. The recklessness of Sheen’s life — cocaine and whores — was bound to catch up with him sooner or later, and if he is indeed infected with HIV, this would not be particularly surprising. But these are mere allegations, I hasten to add, so if any coke-addled whores want to have sex with Charlie Sheen, don’t worry about it. Roll the dice. It’s probably just a rumor, right?

    This beast can see to the level of individual atoms. Still, it’s incapable of detecting my interest in Charlie Sheen’s immune system. At best, one can hope for some sort of redemptive epiphany but I doubt it would get the air time the current bout speculation is getting.

    Charlie Sheen is a strange cat, but I have sympathy for him (even if he has left many casualties in his wake). He has some demons and I hope he can work through whatever he is going through.

    Now, because I’m nice, I’m going to explain this to you just once.

    When Jesus was here the first time, He fulfilled the Law.

    And, there are three elements to the Mosaic and Levitical Laws: ritual, moral and legal. The ritual laws have been set aside. True Christians are themselves temples and priests, so those laws are no longer needed. Punishment has been given over to the nations. What remains are the moral precepts. All of this is confirmed in the New Testament, which you guys never seem to quote, I notice.

    So that sexual immorality is an abomination to the Lord, and is morally repugnant, but the only punishment for it that applies in this life, is that dictated by your state or nation. Dietary restrictions fall under ritual law and no longer apply. Etc.

    So now, QED. You don’t know what you’re talking about, and you ought to therefore shut up about things you know nothing about.

    And you might find it interesting that I’ve made this argument probably 1000 times, and each time had at least one other person (on the progressive side) reply and thank me for explaining, saying that no other Christian explained to them about these things. So…you know…I never know who’s really going to see this. I just think of it as sowing seeds, my friend.
