Not particularly surprising:

President Trump on Monday announced that Attorney General William Barr has submitted his resignation. Amid controversy over the attorney general’s handling of the investigation into Hunter Biden’s business dealings, Barr has decided to step down from his position.
“Just had a very nice meeting with Attorney General Bill Barr at the White House, Trump tweeted. “Our relationship has been a very good one, he has done an outstanding job! As per letter, Bill will be leaving just before Christmas to spend the holidays with his family…”
The president continued, declaring that he was appointing Deputy Attorney General Jeff Rosen to replace Barr. “Deputy Attorney General Jeff Rosen, an outstanding person, will become Acting Attorney General. Highly respected Richard Donoghue will be taking over the duties of Deputy Attorney General. Thank you to all!” he wrote.
Trump’s tweet including a copy of Barr’s resignation letter in which the attorney general expressed his gratitude for being given the opportunity to serve under the president. “I am greatly honored that you called on me to serve your Administration and the American people once again as Attorney General,” he wrote.
