Those Who Don’t Read Peter Ingemi …

. . . are doomed to repeat history:

Seeing a potential story I took the 90 minute drive to Concord NH and sure enough there was a fair amount of National media there waiting to see what would happen when tea party clashed with tea party.
There was no shortage of tea party members who objected to Mitt Romney speaking at the event. One protester wore a flipper suit to highlight his “flip flops” on issues.
They were not shy about making their opinions known to the media either individually or as a group. Moreover with only a single Police Lieutenant on duty at the event, if the Tea Party members of the Granite state wanted to disrupt the speech; there would be very little to stop them.
When Governor Romney took the stage the MSM waited and watched: would it be glitter, a cream pie to the face? Would he be heckled, shouted down or was the protester wearing a flipper suit a fanatical 2nd amendment activist armed to the teeth? The media waited …

That’s from his Examiner column today, and obviously you should read the whole thing.

Imagine that! A mob sized crowd shows up, but no mob! These tea partiers must be sneakier sumbitches than the left gives them credit for!

When you least expect it, expect it.

Bizarre phenomenon such allowing speakers with other views and acting like civilized adults will never be reported on by the Bolshevik press. Acting civilly in spite of the fact that folks disagree with or even dislike a speaker is simply beyond the boundaries of their narrative. They went to a rally where opposing groups were in attendance and a civil discussion broke out. Amazing simply amazing.

It should be noticed that the anti-free speech and pro-violence attitudes of the left aren’t some new phenomenon.  They are the left’s stock in trade:  leftists cannot match wits on ideas, and have always used violence as their first option to get their way (hoping the threat alone was enough, which it often was).

Leftists are NOT just people with whom we have an honest disagreement.  They never seek to discuss because they cannot stand the scrutiny.  They only wish to impose their will on the rest of us.

“.. the Tea Party members still weren’t sold on Governor Romney but were generally surprised anyone would expect them to give him anything other than a respectful hearing.”

Failing to shout down a speaker?  Failing to threaten and jeer?!  This is strange behavior indeed for an uncivil bunch of redneck hay seeds clinging to the bible and arcane notions on the true nature and value of the U.S. Constitution.  Not only does it not fit the narrative, it doesn’t fit any general experience the left has with political activist movements, never demonstrated than by Jimmy Hoffa as quoted in Stace’s previous piece.

And I’ll tell you another thing: I like the way Da Tech Guy writes.  Very nice little piece.

Y, not to mention paying people to “demonstrate” in favor of their policies because no one normally is in favor of them.  Manufacturing “support”, inciting agitation and violence because their “ideas” are losers and serve themselves rather than the populace as a whole….  these are the hallmarks of the Left and the media frauds who support them.

That’s why this election cycle is only the end of the beginning. Time to embrace our inner Boy Scout.

Hey!  No one threw a shoe at Mitt.

    Imagine that.
