If Coakley’s Lost Taylor Marsh . . .
Posted on | January 17, 2010 | 23 Comments
. . . that’s pretty much “game over”:
If this is what is being sent out by Democrats in Massachusetts . . . She’s finished, whether she wins or not.
(Hat-tip: Legal Insurrection.) Taylor Marsh may not be the most extreme moonbat on the planet, but she’s hard-core liberal, and when even she is disgusted by Martha Coakley’s last-minute desperation tactics . . . well, let’s face it, this is going to be a tall order, even for St. Barack of Chicago.
The jaw-dropping god-awfulness of Coakley’s campaign is something you’ll be telling your grandchildren about. She may be the first candidate in two decades with less charisma than Michael Dukakis. I’m hogging the best quotes in my notebook for the next American Spectator column, but there are lots of Democrats in Massachusetts who agree with Taylor Marsh that Coakley has scraped right through the bottom of the barrel, straight into the sewer. At least one of those disgusted Democrats was interviewed Saturday night in Middleboro by Da Tech Guy.
There’s a Politico story about the “enthusiasm gap” in Massachusetts and Da Tech Guy and I saw that Saturday in Middleboro. As I wrote at the Hot Air Greenroom, the minute we pulled up in Everett Square my reaction was, “Holy crap!”
It was already dark, which made it impossible to get a photo that showed the full size of the crowd, but it was at least 500 people. Listen to the cheers in this video clip:
See the rest at the Greenroom, where I’ve also posted photos of the Middleboro event. Among the linkers are The Lonely Conservative and American Glob.
BTW, we were offline for more than three hours Saturday evening due to a server overload. The folks at Silver Logic (our eco-friendly Web hosting provider) are saying we need to buy more bandwidth, which means . . . ah, IYKWIMAITYD.
How bad is the financial crunch? Without your contributions, we may have to skip Rule 5 Sunday this week. And that would be wrong.

The ignorance and stupidity of the ad are astounding, and really insulting to its intended audience, presumably women. I am a Catholic physician and I work for a large Catholic healthcare system on the west coast. I cannot imagine anyone refusing to care for a rape victim, no matter what the law says. Of course we do not do abortions, and I would never recommend one as I am personally opposed to it, but I think most young women know how to find an abortion provider if they want it–Planned Parenthood has seen to that.
I have never been told I cannot prescribe birth control, and I regularly talk to my patients about Plan B. I do have patients who’ve had abortions; it’s not my place to render any judgment about that to them. As a physician, I consider that a fact of their medical history.
One of the mysteries of this whole healthcare reform fiasco, to me, is how people can imagine the government is going to provide more compassionate and patient-centered care than they are presently getting.

No, No, No, No, No!
This makes me very angry. Geller rejected me in the past and I will never forgive her for it. Never.

Martha Coakley is an evil nasty person and beyond being a democrat or republican, deserves defeat on her record alone. Martha Coakley destroyes lives in the guise of being a “prosecutor.”
Rejected by the WSJ.
Even lefties hate her.

Andrew Sullivan is going crazy trying to justify Martha Coakley. He admits she did some evil things as a proseuctor, but says Brown is even more evil. Why? No real explanation, other than him being a Republican. Other than he might–gasp–cut taxes.
In Andrew’s mind republicans are not serious in their drive to cut taxes. Apparently being a conservative in Andrew Sullivan’s mind is promoting a massive expansion of entitlements and more taxes. How is this conservative? It is a mystery!
And Andrew wonders why people think he is nuts.
But these quotes are priceless:
