America used to be a great country. Alas, we don’t make TV commercials like this anymore:

UPDATE: When America was a great country, little girls just wanted to play dress-up and be pretty like Barbie — and nobody thought there was anything wrong with that!

UPDATE II: You know what else? When America was a great country, we had big steel cars with V-8 engines and tailfins!

Why don’t we have great cars like that anymore? Liberals!

UPDATE III: Now? Hallmark pulls talking greeting card from shelves because NAACP says “black holes” sounds like “black whores.” I kid you not.

    I seem to barely remember that Jello ad. Post Cereals used to have a cereal called Rice Krinkles and they had a Chinese kid on the front of the box. There was also Funny Face drink flavor Chinese Cherry, which WAS changed to Choo Choo Cherry. As for Hallmark pulling the supposedly racist card, this was not the first time that the term “black hole” was misunderstood:
