The Roberts Court Will No Doubt Give The 6th Month Drilling Moratorium A Good Listen

Mighty Michelle Malkin echo’s Yahoo’s report that the 5th Circuit told the White House to talk to the hand on the ban.

She also notes:

. . .it’s reportedly too late for some companies that are already moving rigs and workers overseas for projects.

Really, if the Administration can’t just decapitate the Gulf economy outright, they can destroy companies so many other ways. Ah, the town that Billy Sunday couldn’t shut down:

I liken Barack Obama to a drunk stumbling around the party looking for the keys to his car and the press is acting as a valet. He’s going to wreck this thing and anyone can see it coming.

    @TCC,
Not seeing a post yet, if I surmise the proper URL there.
My take: many people have read the Bible as words on paper, e.g. Isaac Asimov.
If you’re not a Christian, prayerfully reading under the influence of the Holy Spirit, it’s just so many words.

    T.L. Davis:

I was highly amused by the image of BHO here in KC today, attempting the metaphor of the Dems being responsible drivers (of the economy) and the Reps being the teenagers for whom the car keys had been taken away because they didn’t know how to drive.

Yeah, he’s actually going to try to to sell that line in the run-up to the 2010 elections.

We’ll have to stop laughing long enough to actually come up with a response to that drivel, unfortunately.

The Democrats are masters at the art of psychological projection, aren’t they?

There was virtually no chance Obama could win on appeal. Even the 9th Circuit isn’t about to grant the Executive dictatorial powers, and that is essentially what he is asserting: that the circumstances do not permit the process required by law, so he can just rule by decree.

I can certainly understand why he tried, though. It’s been working so far . . . firing the CEO of GM, forcing BP to post a $20 billion bond under his control, etc. He’s just trying to push the envelope of his power, understanding that the next Congress will not be so pliable.

Smitty ~ I must disagree – the words can LEAD you to the Spirit, if you at least have an open mind and heart. Of course, if one like Asimov has already decided, he has limited his chances of that course, but stranger things have been known to happen . . .

    Filbert,
Perhaps then, the image I drew for BHO would be useful as a retort, should any Republican operatives choose.

Obama has redirected the water for farming in the San Joaquin valley to dump into the sea. No more farmers or farming there for over a year. Most of the almond trees are dead now. What used to grow there we now import from China. And that is several hundred thousand jobs lost right there directly due to Obama’s policies although I must be a racist to point it out because those farmers were mostly hispanic.
