Repeat After Me: Raaaaacism Is DNA-Based Decision Making

Also, sexism.

‘Diversity’, in the Progressive Inverted Tongue (PIT)*, just means that some Affirmative Action mafia manages the raaaaacism, ‘white’ washing it with the magic squiggle (signature) of some bureaucrat.

La Shawn Barber points to a post at Minding the Campus, where Russell K. Nieli explores “How Diversity Punishes Asians, Poor Whites and Lots of Others” which is well worth your time.

We need to pressure our occasionally representative Congressmen with questions like:

  • What are the exit criteria for the Affirmative Action era? When have we been sufficiently breech loaded with top-down ‘fairness’?
  • As Americans continue to reproduce across traditional ethnic lines, will we cross a ‘Heinz 57 Horizon’, after which the DNA is all so muddled as to render Affirmative Action as intelligible as a Grateful Dead cut (not that there is anything wrong with muddling or the GD).
  • Why can’t we just offer the Affirmative Action farce an international gesture and go with a meritocracy instead? Answer: the hand-me-down Emperor’s New Clothes these clowns are wearing won’t be fashionable outside of Civil Service Circles.

Update: Megyn Kelly, the answer is no. Justice, while a concrete blond, knows that raaaaacism is merely a ageless variation on the theme of politics. Thanks for all you do, Megyn.

*I’ve been grasping for something short and descriptive of this counter-intuitive, superficially-English looking language, where words like ‘illegal’ seem to hold a meaning opposite to what you’d initially guess. Let’s see if this sticks.

Sorry to go off topic, but this is interesting:

I am no fan of George Steinbrenner and the New York Yankees. The Yankees are a team that, while having some players over the years that I admire greatly, is basically evil incarnate.

Still, I am glad George dodged this bullet. George beat them by dying early.

  • young4eyes

Oh Megyn, your sophistry and disingenuousness knows no bounds. Her coverage may not be racist, but there is no doubt that she is passionately engaging in race baiting.
She is trying to make a one-sided argument in light of the facts. Had she put forth the idea that the Bush administration dealt with its own voter intimidation issues and dismissed those as well then maybe she would have some legs to stand on.Instead she falls hook line and sinker for the narrative propagated by some Conservative political hack and does so with the zeal of a Jesse Jackson.

    @Y4E,
Great that you could drop in!

No, really, your attempt at conflating basic questions of with any Bush-era events is a distraction at best.

The Left is to be admired for its rigging skill, to be able to retract Bush from under the bus, while in motion, for yet another toss.

However, no one is attempting any Bush apologist maneuver here. The asymmetric approach of Holder’s Department OJ is as atrocious here as it is with the Khalid Sheikh Mohammed trial as it is with Arizona as it is with Islamic extremism as it is with. . .

But, hey, thanks for the PIT stop (he said, childishly enjoying his new acronym).

young4eyes: Your obtuseness never ceases to astound. Whether or not the Bush DOJ improperly failed to prosecute criminal or civil charges against voter intimidation is beside the point. Even if that charge were true, they at least weren’t stupid enough to WIN a default judgement against four separate defendants and then drop the case against three of them. You see things like that tend to leave records. Said records will be available to the Republicans when they get subpoena powers in January.

“no one is attempting any Bush apologist maneuver here”
Right.Just an attempt at holding one administration to a different standard than another. Smitty, unfortunately for you and your ilk, Bush is the standard by which you will be judged. The point is not to dredge Bush back from the political grave( as much as Cons really want him to stay there) but to shed light on the hypocrisy behind the Black Panther meme.
Your so-called asymmetrical approach by the DOJ under Eric Holder is easily dismissed when taking into account the deafening silence for the Bush administrations lack of action of voter intimidation cases. But hey, no reason to bring that up now, is there?
“Whether or not the Bush DOJ improperly failed to prosecute criminal or civil charges against voter intimidation is beside the point’
Of course it’s beside the point because it ruins the narrative you morons try to portray.
“even if the charge were true”…well Adobe Hut, it is. Ouch, I know this is a big blow to your delusions. If you cared to read WHY the charges were dropped against 3 of the 4 defendants then you might also understand WHY the Bush DOJ did not pursue its voter intimidation cases. If Republicans care to make a case of this when Repugs get subpoena powers in January( haha!) then I look forward to the pretzel twisting said Repugs will have to do when they try to explain away the previous administrations very same practices.Good luck with that, jerky!

    @Y4E,
No, really, there was US history prior to 8 B.O. (Before Obama).

One cannot fault the Left for trying to pretend that a mythical Golden Age that climaxed in a budget surplus and was followed by a two-term Dark Age.

Eric Holder is a disgrace to his gender, office, and country. You can grouse about B.O. events all you like–again, we’re not serious Bush apologists.

Beneath the Golden Age veneer, though, the Progressive era, including Bush, laid the necessary decay to support the After Obama (A.O.) disaster we see unfolding. You really don’t want to see either this
    (a) voter intimidation, or
    (b) decreasing confidence in the validity of our elections
continue, Y4E: the beneficiaries of that nonsense are not our friends.

Let Justice trade in the scales for a morning star and swing like Reggie Jackson, say I.

Prosecutors never drop cases they’ve already won, ever. I was attempting to present the facts from a total lack of scruples point of view on the apparently incorrect assumption that even the densest Bolshevik could comprehend that. Oh well.

Smitty, I get that you’re not a Bush apologist. But wouldn’t your “Fear of a Black Panther” meme carry more weight if it included a repudiation of recent voter intimidation cases that were dismissed? Of course, that would lay shambles to the narrative that the BO DoJ is pursuing a racially biased system of justice, the narrative set forth by the party hack Adams which the Right is so willing to give credence to because…well just because!
While we both do not want to see voter intimidation or a decreasing confidence in the validity of our elections( birthers anyone?) I think we can both agree that we don’t want to see this shameless race baiting zealotry either.Tell the whole story, don’t make it something that it is not, and justice can prevail….

Tit for tat is an acceptable method of dealing with the opposition. In that the charges of racism will be leveled against the right, with or without justification, the occasional counter charge is good for the discussion. As long as a good case can be made for the counter charge. The goal here is not to convince young4eyes but to accelerate the squandering of the race cards capital assets. The use of the race card becomes less and less effective. Fewer and fewer conservatives are cowed by charges of racism and eventually the general public will ignore all charges of racism completely, then we will have achieved our post racial society.

Now, getting back on topic, I believe Africans are slightly less intelligent than other races. Testing proves it. Hence the reason I promotted The Bell Curve at The New Republic. The Bell Curve holds up as one of the most insightful and careful of the last decade. The fact of human inequality and the subtle and complex differences between various manifestations of being human – gay, straight, male, female, black, Asian – is a subject worth exploring, period.

DNA based decision making is racist..Wow.Tell me something I didn’t know.
But calling an idea to protect Americans AGAINST DNA based decision making racist is like calling the Bill of Rights unfair to tyrants and dictators.
Like most solutions to complex problems, Affirmative action is not perfect. i will concede that. But I ask for a better solution rather than a complete repeal of the law. Surely you are not so naive to think that our society today is ready to make that move and maintain an equitable hiring record?

One of the subjects discussed in the above debates was the book “The Bell Curve,” which purported to show that blacks had a lower average IQ than other racial groups. Stacy refused to believe it, saying he did not believe that God would do such a thing to black people. In fact, he brought up other authors and books to refute the Bell Curve. If that’s “racism” I’ll eat my Confederate flag.

You see RSM and his pals are just Christianists! Not rationalists like me and Charles Johnson.

Hahaha…sounds like Tea Bagger heaven, doesn’t it?
Yes Adobe, that’s exactly what a post-racial society is:ignoring all charges of racism. Crosses can be burned on lawns, people of color can be denied services based on their skin color, Jews can be called all kinds of names and sent off to camps…and their charges of racism will be dismissed.
Your utopian vision puts a tear in me eye….

Wait, it was up to BO to improve matters? Or did you fall for the premise that his election alone would improve matters?
Before the 2008 election, Rush Limbaugh predicted that were BO elected it would make race matters worse. And he of course would know better than anyone, for he has a pulse on his listeners. Also, he’s seeing to it personally that things get worse.
Sorry Smitty, but your premise that BO is to improve matters is faulty and raises other interesting questions. I wonder what it is exactly that he is supposed to do to make it all better in your eyes?

    @Y4E,
No, ‘Teh One’ is a formulation to mock the notion that any personality of any sort has any business being relied upon to improve matters.

Personality politics is a sad corollary of Alinsky-ism.

What he can do, since you ask, is embrace the exceptionalism and founding principles of the country, and, overall, steer precisely the opposite of his current course.

No, I don’t anticipate that happening, either. However, a sufficiently American Congress in elected in November can afford the gentleman the proper prodding.

If BO is a formulation then who perpetuated that formulation?
I can’t think of anyone who thought that he alone would improve race matters. Apparently your side has misinterpreted the idea of “post-racial”. It did not mean that racial bias would disappear overnight( again Rush is personally seeing to it that it doesn’t).
“What he can do, since you ask, is embrace the exceptionalism and founding principles of the country, and, overall, steer precisely the opposite of his current course.”

Again, your premise is that he doesn’t embrace the founding principles. This is a myth based on talk-radio chatter and political hyperbole. What founding principles does he not embrace?

y4e ~ the voter intimidation cases dismissed under Bush were axed for a reason: they were BS. No intimidation occurred, it was only alleged with no evidence to be found after full investigations. If you have information to the contrary on any specific case, that might make your point better, although it would still be irrelevant.

There is no reason we should have to condemn another President EVEN IF IT WERE TRUE WHICH IT IS NOT just to criticize the sitting one. Read the First Amendment, or just move to Cuba. You’ll be much happier there – I here it’s a worker’s paradise and Obama likes them better than he likes Israel, how bad can it be?
