Stenography as Journalism

Posted on | July 18, 2010 | 22 Comments

Agence France-Presse:

The Democrat’s House Majority Leader, Steny Hoyer, however urged a focus on a positive election year, calling to a move beyond the ongoing debate over racism in the conservative “Tea Party” movement that has divided voters.

Is there any such “ongoing debate”? Has it really “divided voters”? Why is this reporter just pushing Democratic Party agitprop?

“Why is this reporter just pushing Democratic Party agitprop?”

    The question answers itself.

    Rhetorical question.

The best stenographers write at The Economist on the DIA Blog — they’re the same types of reporters that still think Andrew Sullivan is an American Conservative.

Why is the democratic party so polarizing? Why does Mitt have a problem with women in power? My friends and I don’t like this one bit and other women are noticing it too.

To the extent that racism charges cause more and more people especially on the right to ignore or better yet scoff at such charges, the consequent divisiveness is good for our national debate. The NAAAAACP is no longer relevant the more they scream raaaaacism the more apparent this becomes to more people.

    Debate?
We just get called racists and the media moves on. I wouldn’t call that a debate.

Seriously, as just a conservative girl stated, there is no real exchange of ideas. There is no debate. Remember when Teh One said, “We won.”? That ended the debate. Game over.

There is no debate because they can’t beat us in the arena of ideas.

OT: Did you see where the damn GOP did not endorse our Doug Hoffman in #NY23? The Conservative Party did thus ensuring he will be on the ballot but I was pretty ticked.
